Been tracking flights between United, American and Southwest for tomorrow the past couple days. The flights all fell off from being options for tomorrow without a sharp price increase. I don’t believe they sold out. They would have raised the last ticket on the plane to something dumb like $1K but it was $330 and then poof all options gone. Southwest has them marked as unavailable until a 550P arrival in big D.

Ya that’s where I’m at. Waiving the white flag. Hoping we win so I can exercise my CFP-rsvp’s.

I’m guessing that they are switching folks onto those flights that were wiped out today.

DIA website showing all flights outbound to both airports as on time tomorrow…at least at this point.

Don’t beat yourself up. There will likely be additional cancellations tomorrow, especially with crews and airplanes being out of position with all of today’s cancellations.

Looks like pretty much all flights from DIA to DFW before game time are cancelled now (American last to fall). A bit down about it, but it is what it is. I imagine supply is going to go up on tickets for those looking last minute.

The drive would only take me 15 hours right now from Denver

Fuck it up tomorrow y’all.

You have a ticket?

the most important data point in those images is the forecast of 37f at noon - if that is for DFW airport, then it's either warmer or warms up faster further south

if i were driving from austin i would get up and get on the road just to get on the road and stop for breakfast in georgetown, temple or waco

based on the above data i35 is totally melted all the way to i20 by noon

Not game related cause I planned on tv in Dallas home. Was at Knoxville today and decided to drive to Nashville. (Commuter always gets canceled before main line). HOPING maybe DFW will clear before BNA crashes so maybe a Friday flight. Not likely but have a flight Saturday just in case. Bought a 1.5 liter of rum, 4 liters of coke and a few limes. Staying at hotel with full kitchen so I can cook meals if needed. Stopped at a Kroger in Nashville and it was fucked up central.
I’m sick of being poor. Cmon lottery.

Starting to look better for tomorrow.  Temp holding strong above freezing so has just been rain since early afternoon.  Also looks like precip may clear out earlier than anticipated.

I'm at the hotel. It's cold as fuck outside. Snow piled up everywhere. They definitely did a good job of clearing the roads today, but they are going to have to do it again overnight. And tomorrow. I didn't drive all this way just to watch it at the lobby bar with Karen from Southlake.

Pics of Karen from Southlake?

Daughter and son-in-law are on the way taking the same route you took.  Appreciated your updates and have passed them on.

They just arrived at their hotel in Arlington.  Said the drive was awful because of the constant rain, but the roads were clear.

Things melting pretty well for now in Plano.
Can confirm. Very slushy now. It stopped snowing this afternoon and been raining since. We'll see how much of this turns to ice overnight

At this point I'm pretty confident drive to game won't be an issue for anyone as it isn't expected to get that cold overnight.  But tomorrow night is a different story as temps back in low to mid 20's for whatever is left.  Hopefully not much more precipitation tonight and it clears over the course of the day.

More frozen precision in Arlington last night, but it’s all melting. I live in a light traffic neighborhood and the streets are wet, not ice.

Did you floor it to confirm?

Roads are fine, just wet.  Get out and get moving people.

Yeah anybody still worried about the roads is just being a giant pussy at this point.
