How’s the water pressure? Was seeing some posts online last night that some areas were experiencing low water pressure further hindering the efforts.

Watching the news about 20 minutes ago, showed a lady spraying her house down in Altadena to try to avoid the house on fire next door spreading to her house.  She got the hell out when the 50 foot pine tree in her back yard totally blew up in flames.

You guys can go ahead and delete those posts about looting. It was stated above I am evil for thinking about those things and the good people of LA would never loot/rob.

Up above @Brisketexan said he pisses a lot. Send him and about 10 kegs of beer.

California, Florida, and much of Texas are soon to be uninsurable. That’s just a fact.

That statement could well apply to the whole nation. Fuckin' Vermont had that flooding disaster not too long ago.

The lululemon store in the Malibu Village Mall better batten down the hatches

I think one of the reporters mentioned it already burned down.

I'm not kidding.

Would it be too much to ask for a picture of you pissing on the fire?

…. with a sharpie in your butt if possible.

edit: dammit. Brisket got the piss issue first

HNW property insurance companies often employ private firefighters in these types of disasters to protect high value properties that they insure.

That situation seems like it would be planned in advance. Not something you want to start inquiring about when the building next door is on fire.

Who gets priority access to the hydrants in residential neighborhoods?

Probably too soon, but I can't stop thinking about how fucked any property owner is for insurance in California.  This is unreal.

This is the shit that scares me about living in central Texas because it’s coming and I know we’re not ready. Imagine a fire like this breaking out in Austin and nobody knows what the fuck to do because we’ve never experienced it.

Nah man, its cool. All those houses going up in the cedar forests and along ravines are safe. We go the highland lakes.

Oh wait.

I think that Texans know enough to rake their forest floors.

Is there seriously no (or very little) hydrant water in LA?

In the press conference, it sounded like they said some water tanks in Palisades went dry overnight due to the firefighters relying on municipal water supplies. They were then later able to push water through a different trunk line. Don't quote me on that.
