Marcus Freeman is buying a lot of goodwill for Notre Dame. I fucking hate Notre Dame but I enjoy seeing Freeman succeed.

Hope he goes down to the Evil Texas Longhorns and jumps to the NFL…

Just watching the replay. When PSU got the ball back on their last possession, McElroy says Allar is “not likely to put the ball in harm’s way, so I’d empower him” to throw the ball. Two plays later he throws the pick that loses the game.

Helobius couldn’t have called it better.

So a white Jamarcus Russell??

Except that Russell was mobile, fast and could move. Allar is just a Hackenburg wannabe. The fascination and gravitation toward him is really bizarre.

I liked when they talked about how good PSU's linebacker (#41) was, immediately followed by him getting beaten for a touchdown and then a couple minutes later getting hurdled.

That wouldn’t be tolerated at all.

i listened as many others did I guess to a bit of his presser last night. Goddamn that guy talks as if everything he says is some sort of divine proclamation. Like we all ought to be taking notes on a stone tablet.  What a fucking jackass.

The more frustrating thing was "letting the boys play" until Penn State needed a boost.

Don't change the fucking strike zone in the middle of the game.

The NItters. This isn’t hard. This isn’t racial. I’ve explained it here before.

They are the Nittany Lions. So we call them Nitters. Don’t look for something that isn’t there.

Oh no it’s not racial, it’s just stupid as fuck.

Part of that was at vandy wasn’t it? Which would be understandable.

Um....it says 1-14 at Penn State. He's been there since 2014. At the same time, Michigan and Ohio State were top 5 teams constantly. He can't win the big game.

This is from the write up before the Fiesta Bowl.

Quote

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — There’s nothing left now but to accept it. Embrace it, and then change it.

“There are things that Drew and I can talk about, that maybe no one else can,” James Franklin says.

Like Franklin’s 3-19 record against top 10 teams as Penn State’s coach. Or Drew Allar’s 0-4 record against top 10 teams as Penn State’s quarterback.

Welcome, everyone, to the life of coach and quarterback. Way too much credit, way too much blame.

Like Franklin’s 1-14 record against top five opponents at Penn State, or Allar completing 48 percent of his passes against those games against top 10 teams.

They did the classic Rig XII "wait until you know it's a big play before throwing a flag" thing

11 guys on the LOS maybe gives you a better chance for the block? But Peanut Head was probably contemplating an ND fake....

Faking and throwing for a TD would have been pretty sweet

Nope.  We got a defensive hand to the face of an OL though, just to make things fair

Nittany + NAMBLA = Nambly

Okay, cool. I mean, "Nitters" was so fucking stupid you can hardly fault me for not being 100% on what would otherwise seem to be an obvious connection.

2016 was the last time, right? Beat #2 Ohio State

My guess is he traded a couple bigger bodies on the line for speed guys that might be able to scoop a blocked kick. Obviously ya gotta block it first

The way Penn State lost looked so familiar. They looked like they had the better athletes. Defense looked more physical. QB just missed too many throws and allowed ND to hang around.

They should have been up about 17 at the half...

They dominated the living fuck outta the first 2 quarters on both LOS and won the TO battle.  Went into the house with a 7 point lead.

He managed to top it a couple minutes later with his "Notre Dame needs to make sure not to score a touchdown too early!" bleating when they were on the 37 with 29 seconds left.

It was so bad that I thought I drank too much and couldn’t read the game clock or that the sound wasn’t synched correctly.

There was also that weird comment about ND already being in field goal range when the ball was on the 40 or 45 on that final possession.
I mean, a 58-63 yard field goals are attempted…. Just not usually in the college game and not usually with like a minute left.

There's a reason Franklin is 1-15 against top 5 teams. It's not going to change. He blew two leads last night and will never be able to win meaningful games.

Franklin is tailor made for covering against the Purdues and creating booster happiness.  Competing against like athletes?  Forget it.

If you think Allar's performance looked like anything you've seen from Ewers and our offense  you should delete your account and never post again. Jesus.

Our passing game has had issues when the OL gets whipped as evidenced by our inability to run the ball. Penn State ran for 204 yards last night.

Sometimes I wonder how you idiots manage to find the internet.

A key component of the genius that is Sark is his insistence to throw it to the ….. checks notes …. Wide receivers.

James Franklin could take some pointers on this cutting edge offensive philosophy .

They haven't had a hold called since 2023 at some point.

Announcers rarely get confused for rocket surgeons, but damn. It's like both guys got concussed during the two minute timeout. Sean McDonough couldn't figure out why ND would throw the ball in their hurry up offense. Then Allar could be trusted to pass the ball. Then ND shouldn't try to score a touchdown. And that was only a minute or so of game time.

In fairness, we can't know for sure whether or not some of Allar's passes were intended for WRs.
