Quinn’s good.  He’s just not enough.  The defense was.  That’s the story of the season. Defense was absolutely good enough.  If you want to second guess, it’s fair to ponder what might have transpired if Arch was promoted after the first Georgia loss, but now we’ll never know…damn….

Tip of the cap to the defense shitting the bed at the end of the 2nd quarter,  otherwise they are likely kicking for a 17-14 lead on 4th down there

Sure, blame this loss on the defense.

This issue was just him being slow to make a decision. He needed to something there, instead he got caught reacting far too late.
He’s a  really good career here but he’s just not good enough.

Tbh, I'm glad this is his last game in a Longhorn uniform. I respect him for getting us back in track, but he's always injury prone, can't see above his own line, and he self-sacks or throws INT'S

What a wasted defensive season.  Stupid play calling on that series

What peeps don’t state is you don’t get many chances to do this and Texas had a great shot.

Ding dong Ewers is done.

Maybe sark playcalling too.

Sark needs to either be the OC or the head coach.  I hate HCs that call plays.  There’s no guardrails for the stupidity.

Not sure how anyone singles Quinn out on that whole sequence. He has easily been the best QB in the semi-finals.

Howard whipped his ass tonight.  Are you even watching the game?

Yeah, that's what happens when you stare down a receiver over the middle, Quinn.

Appreciate all you did at UT, QE.  But at the end of the day, you were only a good college QB, not a great one.  It's Arch's time now.

What burns me up is the game was tight as fuck and the score doesn’t show it and to be really honest I think the problem is sark and flood. You know who Quinn is he’s good enough but the run scheme, the play calling, the OL play, and yes Quinn, but if you think the run scheme, the play calling and the OL will be magically better, well don’t hold your breath. Arch is going to be great but I doubt we make the semis next year. Junior year and senior if he stays maybe, but the problem with this program is sark and flood.

We got beat by a 75 yard screen 30 seconds before the half and a 85 yard scoop and score after having a first and goal at the 2 yard line

We got beat on a third down stop on a blatant missed hold that would have flipped possession when tied in the 4th

Well thank God I won't have to see Ewers in another game for Texas. Not that I don't appreciate what he's done but what could have been. Welcome the Arch era!!

I feel like it really is. I feel like he tried to get cute again and outsmarted himself at 1st and goal. That run to the left just killed the drive.

Sarks the same guy he’s always been he’s just built culture and talent to a level that we can compete at the top.

He still outsmarts himself regularly, he still has no concept of time of possession or momentum, and he still is boneheaded with clock management.

Well, at least January 20th will be a good time to get work done. I'm not watching Ohio State/ND. That's boring as fuck.

Me neither

I give zero fucks about either team

Sark puckered .

He had it and puckered. Got too fucking cute

He does that way too often. He really needs someone to tell him no from time to time.

If you all think QE is the problem, you’re in for a rude awakening next year.

Oh boy! That should be fun.

Great year. Got back to the semi-finals.

Like last year, though, it was a lot of almost getting it done.

Get back to work Sark. Big off season ahead. And hey we get Ohio State again.

Would be nice if reporters grilled sark after the game about his play calling. To be in that stupid play sheet all the time yet never dials up anything good.

Eh.  For as terrible as Sark's play calling, the O-line, and Ewers has been all season, reaching the semifinals was a win.  Shame this baller as fuck defense had to be wasted, though.  Really excited about next season without the Ewers millstone hanging around our neck and Arch leading the squad.  Someone force Sark to hire an O-coordinator, though.

Ewers was never going to win a title. Charmin soft southlake mentality since he was in high school. Chased that NIL money and never improved.

That has always bugged the fuck out of me about him.

redacted b/c I was an emotional fool - my post is quoted later.

sigh - were were VERY close.

1st and goal from the 1 should be a TD.
