Well…fuck!

Arch is on the clock now.

1st and goal from the 1.5 yd. line. WTF? 4 times (if necessary) straight north run. If they stop that…so be it. Stupid play calling at the close.

Yeah and if you are going to run wide at least do it as a gadget like with the Arch first down run.

Just seemed like we always played it safe.

Can’t remember the last fake punt or trick-ish play.  just keep following the script.

Sark isn’t going to win jack shit here if he’s too stubborn to understand his flaws. he will be another Mack

Outcoached and two fucking mistakes that lost the game. It’s always being a stupid fucking thing with this team. We can’t just put it all together.

Yep. Two years of almost being great.

This issue today, was as much Sark as it was Quinn, really, largely Sark.

Sark has to get an OC for game day calls and adjustments or we will get similar results no matter the Texas QB.

I don't know. Seemed like OSU was the better team all night. Better defense. More playmakers.  Better team win tonight imo. It sucks.

Gotcha.

Nah. I think people will fondly remember him. Everybody is just so reactionary on game day.

Meh. I would have said something similar before this year. The defense this year was a shocking surprise.

So I am going to hold off announcing how next year is going to go.

We'll be fine.

He’s right. Texas should have won and Sark blew it and will be rightfully and mercilessly ridiculed for that sequence of play calls

The only time I truly felt we’d win that game is when we got the ball back tied at 14 and then Quinn overthrew Golden on 3rd down. He just has never had it in crunch time when it’s time to let the nuts hang.
That said I completely blame sark for what happened at the end. Just terrible, indefensible play calling.

There’s no Helm wasting in the wing to play only when you decide to notice him. We don’t know what we got at running back and will be down a Banks. A lot of regression is going to happen. We don’t know what attrition will look like, and that’s not addressing defensive tackle. We also are down one great ass experienced corner. This team could’ve been really special.

Then let's hope Arch is VY-esque, and he lets Arch be Arch.

Look, Texas next year will have to do with less. They’re going to lack in experience at a lot of spots hopefully the defense will be decent because the offense is going to have to play a lot better to get anywhere close to this year.

Agreed, everyone acting like we’ll easily be back quickly forgets 2010.

The Quinn thing has become irrational. Yes, he fumbled on that play, the score was an insult but the sack effectively ended it. Why are some folks ignoring the things that lead to that down, the massive non-block by Cam Williams, who by the way, has a higher draft projection than Quinn, and the fact that the play design itself was shit, with really not much open.

SEC network slamming the toss sweep call

As they should. Osu made the same call on a third and short earlier in the game and gbenda stuffed it.  But &goal from the 1 you really shouldn’t ever give up 7 yards to try to get one.

I say never run outside the tackles when you have 4 shots from the 1.5 yard line. You can’t get that then you shouldn’t be there.

The most puzzling thing is the OL . 59 rushing yards ?? !!!

The struggle began against Arizona St. The protection for a slow Ewers was also crucial and he was pressured and hit and we know what happened.

Sark needs to answer why the OL which this team was built on was lacking .

Defense played a heck of a game and enough to win against a powerful and elite offense like OSU.

All gas no breaks was the opposite of the offense this year.

This team just lost to a better team.

It happens.

The first step will be hiring an offensive coordinator.

I'm still Sam > Quinn

To me, they were both ultimately good, not great, college QBs.

Hoping Arch can step up to the "great" pedestal next season or in '26, and that might be what we need the most to get back to the promised land.

Stats don’t show that. Bad call before the half, stupid play calling at the goal line. That’s it. And if you look at refs and a few other plays Texas is winning by two scores. Kids played well enough to win, coaches let them down. That’s really what the sec network was saying.

Sark needs to take a look in the mirror and figure out some things on offense.

But Ewers has been the same QB his entire career. Zero mobility, self-sacks himself entirely too many times, and has no deep ball at all. Our offense has been predicated around short to intermediate passing with no running threat from the QB.

We've been limited with Ewers and that's just a fact.

Sark needs to hire an OC so he can focus more on clock management and the big picture.

Agree with your assertions about the offense's shortcomings. This team had a championship-caliber defense, so it's a shame it was wasted. Poor special teams hurt, too.

Definitely. I’ll take the semifinals every day and twice on Sunday.

Meh. Could have easily won both. We won none largely due to incompetent coaching.

On the other hand, we wouldn't be here without that coaching.

I didn’t have good feeling about this game because the ASU game.  I’m disappointed Sark didn’t utilize Arch and don’t understand why he didn’t because it may have cost Texas a NC.

Yeah. Arch was a pretty good short yardage QB but was rarely used.

Though Sark may have gotten scared by that almost fumble by Arch but I think that was a helmet to helmet hit.
