Ewers is the oppsosite of “good in the clutch”. He came through in OT against ASU but that was the exception. If he was good in the clutch we’d be SEC champs. Instead, he made almost every SEC game a nail biter because he can’t close.

No coffee for Quinn?

Ewers will be the 4th QB picked in the draft.  He usually was really good in the clutch.  He just wasn't in the 4th Q tonight.

Now Arch should have been in after 1st down didn't work.

If Quinn could learn how to move around in the pocket (instead of getting sacked or running into the first opponent he sees), learn to throw the ball above the defenders or maybe not throw into the hands in front of him, learn to get rid of the ball quicker instead of being indecisive, and learn to throw balls with zip instead of floaters that allow defenders to close in and break the play up he would be MUCH better and have a chance at being great in the NFL.  He is still injury-prone and can't seem to run anymore like he used to (maybe the injuries were worse than we thought?) so he needs to fix whatever is wrong there as well.  If he declared for the NFL after this game those issues would be huge flags for any NFL team that drafted him in the first or second rounds.  I don't think he would be drafted in the first 3 rounds this year.  If he portals and plays another college year, fixes that stuff, and doesn't get injured all year long he has a chance for 1st or 2nd round.

That game was well within our reach, despite people predicting we’d be blown out. Still, it was a very good season.

We have gone deeper in the playoffs than any team in SEC history.

We’re the only SEC team to make the national semifinal in the 12 team playoff.

We’re the only SEC team to have ever won a game in the 12 team playoff.

We’re the only SEC team to have won 2 playoff games in the 12 team playoff.

We’re the only team to beat 2 conference champions in the 12 team playoff.

We’re the only team to have won all 6 NY6 bowls. Not too shabby.

What is your solution

for Sark not to be a moron or go get a new coach.  you run the ball from the 1 straight and if you don't make it your D(which is you best unit all season) has a chance to make a play.  It was absolute complete fuckheadedness from Sark.

Got us to the one. Coach pooped his pantaloons after that.

Going and getting a new coach will likely cost you Manning. So that option is out. How do we stop him from being a moron?

It’s really stupid when running outside hadn’t worked all day or even last game. It was an absolute disaster of a play call.

I really hope we get some coaches to analyze our play calling and give advice on how are plays are being run. We need defense recognition from our WRs and QBs to attack different coverages by changing routes. We need to not over engineer plays and instead have quicker decisions. Sark needs to realize there is lots for him to learn.

We shouldve brought manning in. Ewers is basically a non threat in the red zone. That is why we have struggled so badly this year in the RZ. Good news is that next year Manning will be in on every play and he will convert a much higher % of RZ opportunities.

I didn't say Quinn was better. I'm just not catching on with him being a spare. You doing get from where we were to where we are with a spare QB.

Bro is carrying a a 2.5ypc rushing game against top teams. And we're putting it on him for some reason.

Well the reason is the fumble to end it. But yeah. It’s a mystery.

them checks more or less than the other qbs? I don’t have the sobriety to check right now 😂

And I for one look forward to the incessant bitching about Arch Manning.

Ryan Day brought in an OC so he could focus on being the HC, and, IMO, it proved to be the deciding factor.

Sark needs to do the same.

Can't wait to lose to Oklahoma because we just keep spamming IZ.

Funny to say this after the struggles the last 6 games but the end of the 3rd came at a terrible time.

we finish a 12 play, 67 yard drive to tie it up, get OSU to punt after a 3 and out (after their personal foul negated a first down). We get 7 on first down, then have to sit through the end of 3rd quarter timeout on the stink of a 2 yard loss on a pass in the flat to wisner. Quinn comes out and never gives Golden a chance on 3rd and 5.

all that hard earned momentum gone. OSU marches 88 yards on 13 plays for 6 chewing up half the 4th quarter in the process.

Yeah, it was a surreal feeling to see Texas come out and win the third quarter. But I got a really bad feeling with Quinn airmailed that ball to Golden.

I think it was generally a well coached game except for the deep nickel zone blitz on the long screen TD right before half and the flabbergasting second down sweep call at the goal line. Unfortunately those two plays ultimately doomed Texas in game with such tight margins. Texas was going to have to coach and execute at as high of a level as they did all year to win and they didn't quite get it done. It is what it is.

This team still beat the everloving fuck out of Michigan, OU, and A&M; went to OT in the SEC CG; and beat the ACC and B12 champions en route to a national semifinal and 13-3 season. It was a successful year even if I'm sitting here a little disappointed. Tough way to lose but they competed and were right there and that's all you can ask for. Hang around at this level long enough and it'll break for you. At least that's what I tell myself.

Honestly the SEC CG loss hurt more than this one. Ohio State is just better and Texas didn't play/coach quite well enough to win. There were many times where the game could have gotten away from them but they managed to stay in it. In the conference championship, Texas was the one with many chances to break the game open and never cashed in, and it came back to bite them.

Quinn is what he is; I'm grateful to him as the guy who oversaw the turnaround and wish him well but I'm very much ready to see what this offense looks like under a new QB. Fill out the DL in the portal and all of a sudden next year looks really promising. The window is open for a few years at least. It didn't happen for Bama, Georgia, or Michigan until it did. Onward.

For how good of a recruiter Kyle flood is and how he has stocked the OL room I’m not impressed with the how the O line has played all year. Run blocking and pass blocking have been bad in critical times this season. I’m starting to think he sucks at actual coaching and development.

Ewers was a statue at QB and limited the ability of the O line against elite D lines. IF Ewers had even slight mobility we couldve moved the pocket and made the O line's job easier.

two things on the first and second down plays:

1st down: look next to Banks. Texas brings in another blocker wearing #99 but he doesn't have a name plate on the back of his jersey. #99 is Jermayne Lole and teams will use DTs to block, but if it's him, wouldn't he have a nameplate? Who is this mystery man? The mystery man is either supposed to double team Tuimoloau with Helm and get to the linebacker or he's supposed to block Tuimoloau and fucks it up. WHO IS THAT???

2nd down: in his presser Sark says if it's blocked well it's in the endzone and from his vantage point he couldn't see where they were leaky. It was not blocked well, but the biggest problem is that Caleb Down fills the space vacated when Banks pulls so even if it WAS blocked well, Downs was going to blow it up. It was a bad play call and Knowles kicked his ass on it.

When a QB isn't a threat to run, doesn't have a good deep ball, has easily batted down balls, move to the check down quickly, and throws INTs fairly often... it does a lot to helps a DC game plan an attack and limit what an offense can do. When it's coupled with slow developing plays and draws by the OC, makes it even easier for the defensive players.

Not sure why this is a complex concept to understand, but I guess pointing at one group of players or another requires less thought and comprehension about football plays and players abilities.

Ewers not being a run threat in the slightest made it easier for defenses to attack the OL And the RB for sure. Offense should be more potent with Manning

I was at the game in the opposite endzone so didn’t have a great look- sure looked like there should’ve been a flag for PI in the endzone on 3rd down that should’ve given us another first down at the 1 yard line but no one seems to be talking about that play so I may be wrong.

It looked like it might have been to me too. Frankly the coverage of it was pretty limited and I never got to see the replay and then OSU had 6 points.

I think the refs tried ot say uncatchable. But it was uncatchable because of the PI. Moral of the story, just keep interfering in the end zone and dare them to keep throwing the flags because eventually they will stop.

It reminds me of being on Hornfans 20 years ago.  Same divisions.

Mack knocked on the door several times before he kicked it in. Sark may have, too.

We shall see.

Mack Brown had the Heisman Trophy winner his first season and didn't win the national championship until his eighth.

People had him fired long before Vince came along.

Who was responsible for locking down Jeremiah Smith tonight? Barron? Whoever it was deserves major praise. Very few teams had an answer for him this season.

I saw Muhammad on him a few times. If he had him most of the game, kudos to him after being on highlights for a lot of the wrong reason the last few games.

How is he hell do you fuck up first in goal from the fucking one yard line? Why the fuck are you handing out the ball 6 yards deep? Ugh! You know that guy loved Quinn so much like he said he did what the fuck did he keep returning that ball for a touchdown? I don't fucking know because he really didn't love him lol I don't fucking know I'm pissed one fucking play away from tying that fucking game! I would have brought in Gunner and used him as a blocking fucking fullback and then ran it at the fucking middle but not six yards deep!!

Fucking RSV ! I coughed so much  I almost pucked!

All coaches make bad calls. Sark makes a lot of good ones. One quality Manning seems to have that Ewers doesn't is the ability to take a play gone bad and turn it into something amazing. He has instincts and can turn on the speed like that, outrun even D backs. That safety we took last game - all the close tacklers were to Quinn's right. A hundred times a year we all see good QBs run out of trouble, arc around a linebacker or defensive end and race to the sidelines for a short gain. If Quinn had any quickness at all, he'd have darted to his left, run deeper into the end zone and arced out of it at the sidelines. He doesn't have that raw ability to make something happen when a play breaks down.

Arch does, and I think Sark is a good enough coach to take full advantage of his size, speed and elusiveness. That seven yard run he made tonight on fourth down could have easily been stopped at or before the LOS. He's a gamer. He will rally teams around him just like his uncles did. Good coaching, fired up players, a couple of hot RBs and a star QB. We're gonna be sitting pretty next year. We'll probably be ranked Top 10 most of the year.
