We were about to tie the game with 3 minutes left until Sark called arguably the worst play call in Texas football history and one of the worst plays ever called in the postseason of college football by any team. Ohio State was beatable and we were right there.  Texas is every bit as good as this Ohio State team. It’s a shame our head coach choked in the most magnificent way possible in the worst possible moment.

And yet the play call for Blue’s second touchdown was absolutely perfect. Sark was overthinking

Don’t feed the troll guys. You know with 3 min left this dude was ripping bong hits of meth with bubble guts and now he wants to come on here big and bad. As far as the last sequence I would’ve preferred getting a RB out in the flat with some routes over the top to give ewers different options but oh well we will be back next season.

You’re wrong here. Quinn is absolutely part of our running problems. He’s not a threat to keep it and run and he can’t hit deep balls so safeties can play in the box more. His deficiencies lead to 1-2 extra defenders who can make a stop in the run game on every play. Our OL, especially interior OL needs to improve, but Quinn is absolutely part of the problem with our run game.

I hope you’re right, but we’ve seen way too many OL whiffs and ridged play calling decisions, situational awareness stupidity for me to believe it’s mostly Quinn. Again, I hope you’re right.

Woke up this morning, went for a run, worked out, ate some breakfast, then sat down and started thinking about that last shit-ass goal line series one more time.  GD it that sucked.

Now I have to finish taking down the rest of the Christmas decorations that I've been stalling on, and I was looking forward to watching some playoff football while doing so, but I no longer have any desire to watch any football at all, because football is dead to me.

For now.

That’s probably Quinn more than Sark

Yeah, I think you're right. Dude had "his guys" that he looked for, rather than trying to find an open man. Wingo was open a ton of times, and it pissed me off.

However, Arch gets to throw ro Wingo, Ffrench, Lockett (who's a fucking freak(, Moore, Jordan Washington, hopefully Amamri Niblack and Aaron Butler (whom the staff absolutely loves).

That was my initial reaction, but after thinking about it I want Ohio State to win. I want it to feel very clear that we lost the NC in this game, for Sark's sake. He needs to adapt on game day.

Also I want our revenge victory in Game 1 next year to be against the defending national champs.

I think Sark's offense is catered more to Arch's strengths rather than Quinn's. But Arch wasn't ready yet, and you don't have a QB competition with a guy who is winning (regardless of their faults ). Sark made the right call and we went 25-5 in the last 2 years.

I can't wait to see what Arch can do (his deep throws are money, and he can escape the pocket (.

I haven't seen it discussed. Kick the gotdamn field goal on 4th down it's 21-17. We had 2 timeouts plus the 2:00 stop.

Our coaches provided ample brainfarts last night.  4 plays decided the game, dingblangit.

1) the screen 75 yard TD

2) the qb keeper on 4th for a 20 yard run when it was 14-14

3) 2nd down at the 1 (this could be expanded to all 4 plays from 1st and goal at the one if you want)

4) scoop and score.

That's it. We'll be back bitches. Circle that first game next year cause we comin.

I think the odds of making that stop and scoring again are lower than making the 4th and 7.

if you don't make it, normally you have the chance to stop them anyway if your line doesn't give up a sack fumble

Starting with sark

Yeah Gerry Hamilton raised a good point that they have the two best safeties as far as coming downhill to stop outside runs and they didn't really have pass assignments on that play.  The play call was doomed to fail as a concept let alone execution.  A halfback pass had a better chance to score than that play.

Yep. We have equal talent. Howard waa sacked 3 times, threw an INT, not a singke WR  had a 100 yard game. Jeremiah Smith went 1-3, Egbuka  6-51. Our secondary is elite. Our defense sis elite. They thought they could come in and dominate us like they did Tennessee and Oregon and got a lesson on what playing a real tea n kooks like.

Who’s this?   We are playing notre dame this week.

What's this "we" shit? Are you suiting up, or are you one of the retard adult men who wear a players jersey out in public?

 I'm guessing the latter.

We’ve seen you and your midget boyfriend (sorry, dwarf) at Pottery Barn.

Is that supposed to be some kind of insult.?

Work smarter not harder. I think you should go back to TexAgs and tell your story about how you insulted a sip, but leave out the part where your labia is inflamed.

At this point I have to root for ND.   And I fucking hate ND.

I woke up disappointed, obviously, but really proud of my team.

When I heard about Baxter's injury, I wondered way back then if that had cost us a championship.  Then the injuries kept coming.  And we still got this close to winning the SEC (in spite of a lot of fuckery) and a national championship game.

This team overcame a lot this year.  And a lot of them will be back.

Next year, we take the next steps.

You summed that up exactly how I feel.

I have a question from the game. We stayed for the playing of “The Eyes of Texas”. The Longhorn band had to wait for the Buckeye band to finish playing what sounded like Queen’s “Fat Bottomed Girls”. What is that about?

Have you ever been to Ohio?

Has anyone found a replay of the 3rd down, the down before the strip sack?  The entire bar thought it was PI but never got a replay.

I couldn’t tell at the game, where it looked like PI, but Ian Boyd wrote that the ball was slightly tipped by Sawyer, so,- no PI.

There are 12 teams in the playoff. Eleven of them are destined to lose.

We had our chances last night, but Ohio St. made a few more key plays. It happens. Still a good year overall.

Props to Sark for making it this far. Thanks to the team, including Quinn. He may not have been everything we hoped for, but he was still pretty good.
