MGM+ subscription through Prime. Watched it about a year ago. Thought it was excellent.

It’s based off of the book written by Ben McIntyre, same guy that wrote Rogue Heroes (also on MGM+)

guy pearce should have had an A+ career.  la confidential, memento, then just a bunch of  . . . stuff.  he seems cool so you can imagine him just not caring about having a brad pitt-esque career, but then he appears in a marvel movie so he wants the checks still.

Heh.  NYT has an article today answering this very thing.

Australian Actors mostly end up going back to Australia.  Same for a lot of New Zealand actors.  Outside of the odd Mel Gibson, they all go back. Pearce eventually left Melbourne and moved to Amsterdam with his second wife, a model, but 90% of the time when an actor from down under doesn't have the career you thought they were going to have, it's because they hated Hollywood and left.

I just finished this series, I watched an episode once a week. It's best consumed slowly. Oddly, I found the show intriguing yet dozed off every time I watched it.
