Does anyone know of a repair shop that works on Mercedes sprinter vans in the Austin area?  Trying to avoid taking it to the dealership as it is just out of warranty.

I assume Ben's Workshop on Oltorf repairs Mercedes Party Buses.

Just curious, how do you like that van, and would you get one again? Nosing around to get something similar this year.

You probably know this, but...

There are tons of forums that compare/contrast all the variants of sprinter van, etc.  In all of my reading, I conclude: the Mercedes ones are a little better and break down less.  However, when the break down, it's a giant PITA, as the MB repair shops tend to be near larger towns and cities.  Dodges - while lower in reliability - can be serviced just about anywhere.

The above was largely from groups of folks who are using the Sprinters for travel, off-grid camping, etc.

We do like the van and have not had any issues with it up until now.  We got the 2500 sprinter. I think it is around 20 feet in length. We purchased it in 2021 brand new from Georgetown Mercedes and then had it converted for camping.

The fan for the a/c is making a little noise and of course it went out of warranty in August.

We are having difficulty finding a local shop to service sprinter vans. Shops that service Mercedes, won’t work on the van.   Dave’s ultimate automotive said they service them, but I don’t know if they are any good or not. Might need to check some local (Austin) sprinter forums too.

I thought about something like this for off-grid, then figured one of those aussie backwoods off-grid trailer would be better. Originally saw it mentioned on TOS, and couldn’t remember what it was. Then other things came up and that was that.
