COUNTERPOINT:

He has a young baby at home. Possibly is considering staying at Texas so that he can spend more time out on the road.

You have no idea how much worse it gets.

My youngest screamed his fucking head off all night for months. We finally discovered that he didn't want the tittie, he didn't want the bottle, he didn't want a clean diaper, he didn't want to be held... what he wanted was a drink of water. Problem solved.

Somebody thought enough of you to marry you and have your baby? Is she a goth/emo type that thinks the world is always about to end? Congrats on both, regardless.

I'm actually amused at the notion of some chippy, happy-go-lucky woman discovering sarvanash in their company's accounting or engineering department and thinking that she can fix him. Or maybe in real life, sarvanash is like the funnest, chirpiest guy at the office. It's only on Surly in which he shows his deep, dark, "it's the end of the world as we know it" self.

Hey now, accounting doesn't claim that guy! He's a know-it-all engineer all the way...

Texas' trajectory and momentum is pretty remarkable lately. NIL has been huge (thanks again to all those here involved with that effort), coaching stability has been strong, and the portal and draft have been friendly to us. We have had lots of guys that could easily leave wind up staying (J Whitt, Taaffe, Arch), and the same is true of coaches. Hell of a ride lately.

Leadership (Eltife, Hartzell, CDC) had the balls/stupidity to go all in on a talented dude with a checkered past (albeit one who had rehabbed under Saban, learned the SEC way to do shit, and had a stable of good assistants willing to come with) and hit a bullseye. Throw in (n a big way) the NIL you spoke of, patience with PK, Cristobal leaving Oregon, culture buy-ins from holdovers, good portal evals and you have a complete reversal from the stale (Mack), bad (Charlie) and meh (Mensa) that had been holding us back. And we’re just getting started.

My first born (son) slept through the night from the day he was born. My 2nd born (daughter) didn't sleep through the night until she was 5.

I feel lucky with our first outside of the phases we've had pretty good nights of sleep. He's about to be 7 months and we throw him in the crib at 630-7pm, he falls asleep within 5 minutes or so, and wakes up anywhere between 5-6am.

Well, I am here to tell you things go downhill quickly and get much worse as they get older.

Sincerely,

Satya
