Eh. I just don't care enough.

I might do something for the Longhorns, but, thankfully, there is not an owner involved.

Mack Brown is back in town.

He may not be an owner, but he's got some spotlight time. You know what you need to do.

If nothing else, "Mack Brown is back in town" is a damn fine first line for a bkuesy song.

Samples interviewing for the Cowboys RB job now, per Nick Harris.

Would be his 6th job in 5 years if you include his few month stop at TCU.

Just when I thought I couldn't hate Jerry anymore, he could go and do something like this...and TOTALLY REDEEM HIMSELF

jk wouldn't care that much but wouldn't hurt to have him no longer recruiting against UT

Also, with no coach limits, if Choice left, why not Samples AND Drayton lol? Samples does all the recruiting, Drayton helps as assistant coach / analyst. Show me a loss.

He’s a volume recruiter that can land 5 stars as well as anyone. These people negging his coaching skills are also idiots. There isn’t another coach for that position that anyone here can confidently state would be an upgrade.

Also, @Codaxx saying the RB “lacks star power” is fucking dumb. Baxter was a budding star and the number 1 RB recruit in the country.  His loss was discussed nationally from the day it happened through the end of the year. Gibson was also highly rated and Wisner is now a known asset with anyone covering the sport or watching games. Just a fucking dumb take.

This is so ironic. You gave me shit for saying Texas will miss Baxter prior to the season. Told me  Choice has this, stop being a pussy. Paraphrasing, but that is the gist..

I was hoping to see Baxter take the next step in 2024. Brooks and Blue both went for over 6 yards a carry in 23, while Baxter was as at 4.78. He had that nice run vs Tech, where he showed some serious burst. Wish I saw more flashes but he was bagged up most of the season, so I will reserve any judgement. Health is a concern coming off surgery. He is a great blocker in pass pro. Gibson was a disaster fumbling and in blocking. I can’t remember any runs, where he really flashed. Wisner is a solid guy. Like him, but I don’t see a star there. He is a guy that didn’t start at RB as a HS senior. Last season was a year where RBs generally got the yards the play was blocked for and not much more. Players improve, but you usually see it early with RBs. I hope I am wrong, but I see more of a solid stable of RBs. Do you think there is a 1st-2nd round RB in there? I am excited to see Simon.

Sorry, tweet above not embedding for whatever reason. They expect Choice to get a raise at Texas
