With all eyes on August and a rematch with Ohio State let's look at how Texas has fared against the reigning National Champions. The 3 selectors used were the AP, Coaches, and FWAA final polls.

Honorable Mention- Alabama was named the 1964 Champions pre bowl but lost in the 1965 Orange bowl to Texas 21-17.

My 80 year old Dad was a sophomore OL on the Horns that season. Still talks about the game to this day and has his Orange Bowl watch.
