Texas Offseason 2025 - Archmania Is Upon Us

Arch is probably going to make some absurd plays and head scratching mistakes in pursuit of a few more. I'm excited to see what the offense looks like with a credible vertical threat.

But really next season's result is directly correlated to how well we shore up the interior lines in the wake of major talent/experience departures on both sides of the ball. The next seven months are going to be lots of circular discussion that ultimately lands there.

The Wall Street Journal recently released a study identifying the U.S.’ most valuable college football programs. The Texas Longhorns were ranked No. 2 nationally, behind only No. 1 Ohio State, which was crowed national champions Monday night after beating Notre Dame in the College Football Playoff finals. Both programs nearly top $2 billion in enterprise value, which, according to researchers, is found by subtracting adjusted cash flow from a program’s annual adjusted revenue (in Texas’ case, an enterprise value of $1.87 billion.)

Hmm, the school that just announced a $20m loss is the top enterprise value program?

$20m loss? I must have missed that.

And, financially speaking, you're talking about the income statement vs the balance sheet. Not the same thing.

I understand the difference between an income statement and balance sheet. You know the point I was making. Stop being obtuse, accounting nerd.

He's going to give everyone frustrated with Quinn exactly what they want, but that will likely come with more than a few picks, ill advised shovel passes and getting rocked into a fumble if he doesn't learn to slide.

That said it will be nice to have a fearless QB that can actually put an opponent away when they're on their game, and not just a lesser opponent. Having a consistent running game plus a dual threat QB should do wonders for us in the RedZone. We shall see.

Arch is a playmaker and gun slinger. He is a Manning, but his is an Arch, not a Peyton. I am not sure he turns it over more than Ewers (17 last year), but he will definitely be more exciting. Bobby was saying Texas will need much better QB play to get back to the playoffs next year. I do think Arch has the skills to open up the offense more. Backside DEs cannot crash on the run with Arch's running ability. Arch will have safeties playing more flat-footed with his ability to throw deep and his desire to chuck it down the field. There will be some good and bad, as is the case with every 1st year starter. Most fans understand that. He needs to learn to slide and reign his desire to make the big play.

This and I anticipate linebackers will play closer to the los because of his ability to run.

I think he’ll do well

It's time, gentlemen. Arch fits what Sark wants to do, and he's a legit generational talent. We will have no drop-off and I predict we win it all. Ohio State loses their entire defense sans Downs, and they are breaking in a new (albeit) a good QB. They lose also a ton on their offensive line. As well as both of their RB's

We have the upper hand on both offense and defense. We will win and people will bitch because they lose a ton. Oh well. It's not our fault they came back last season and now leave.

Ewers had 19 turnovers this year.  I doubt Arch does worse than that.
