And everyone knew it was coming.

Yeah about as bad of a call as a fade route. As much as we like to blame the QBs and the O-line, a lot of the blame really needs to go on the offensive coordinator.

Some notes from yesterday:

- Defensive lineman Alex January was said to have a standout day.

- Ryan Wingo and Arch Manning connected on the longest pass play of the day.

- There were six would-be sacks across the three different offensive levels (1st, 2nd and 3rd teams). Texas does not allow for the QB to sacked.

- The Horns worked Arch Manning some in the run game.

- Defensive end Lance Jackson was singled out for his play yesterday.

- Trey Owens held off KJ Lacey all the way through camp for the back-up spot and that remains the case as practice ended yesterday.

- Daniel Cruz has seen extended action with the 2s at center.

There will be more that we hear over the next 24-48 hours that we will pass along.

Were any of the spring practices open? I think Sark gave the media one 20 minute window that he cancelled at the last second.

It’s cool that they had the fan event, but man I miss the spring game and open practices.

There also wasn't an open practice in August for the first time in forever.

Unless Sark improves in the red zone, any claim he’s one of the top handful of play callers in the country is nonsense.  Has to do better.  I don’t care how many yards we rack up between the 20s

I think we will see this year that with Arch behind center red-zone play-calling will cease to be an issue.

if you know what I mean.

It’s been an issue with him at other places with other players

We might get better interior push this season too. Remains to be seen, of course, but neither Majors nor Conner were road graders.

The biggest question is how long they will take to gel. I like the talent and potential.

Peeped some mock drafts for next year. First rounders: Arch, Ant, Muhammed

How many times does his dad have to allude to it that he won't just start 1 season in college?

Arch might have to really use his mobility against Ohio St.

Good news is the Cam Williams free fall in the draft is a giant red flag to the Goosby family that the NFL wants to see more than 1 year of tape. I'll be shocked if Arch doesn't have his left tackle for both of his starting seasons here.

I think there was a Georgia guy the year before that started 1 year and went 1st round. I dont think you can make a cookie cutter statement on these things. Goosby has the length and movement ability to be a 1st round guy. He needs some work though, especially in the run game.

Okay everyone. I need your help.

@immamac isn't speaking to me since I lost the Burnt Endz money when Bibi Hadid refused to return our deposit when Fyre Fest 2 was cancelled.

But I think I have a solution. We have an opportunity to purchase the Fyre branding rights!

Yes, after the Fyre 2 fiasco, Billy McFarland has given up trying to hold the festival and is selling the brand. Rebranding Fyre Fest as Surly Fest, a multi-media, sports, arts and music festival is the kind of thing that could take Surly Horns to the next level. I'm talking IPO, private equity, all of us becoming multi-millionaires. I just need $80K from all of you to pay the company back for Bibi's theft, plus an additional $1M to purchase the brand. Buying shares in this venture will set you up for life, guaranteed!

Who's with me?

Backup OT Nick Brooks got himself a DUI over the weekend.

Well he did go to high school in Georgia.

Seriously, stupid freshman bullshit he'd better learn from.

Goosby is like a big kid out there. Doesn’t seem to have the finesse of the position, doesn’t really know how big and strong he is, just latches on and does what he wants most of the time. Looking forward to see him play more.

We will see how they feel IF he is looking like the #1 pick after the season...

The reason Cooper has said it has nothing to do with draft position. It's the data that says QBs that enter the NFL with under 25 starts have a low success rate. They made it clear they're aiming for 25+ starts of development.

When you're getting paid big money to play in college and develop, why take the risk? Especially when you just saw your teammate leave early and screw himself big time.

Eh, he is a freshman. They are capable of learning. Does something stupid again and then we're talking about his career trajectory.

Cam's stock fell well before he declared. I am guessing there was more to his decision, than we are privy.

Might have been concerns regarding his knees

I wonder how many drinks it takes to get someone who is about 6'7" 350 lbs. over the legal limit.

Probably about as many as it takes Wade Boggs
