The regular ones aren’t the tastiest but the dipped ones are pretty good, and if you know of a tastier thing with as good or better macros for 180 calories I’m all ears. 18g protein, eating one of those completely tides me over.

I'm not kidding.

Back to pre college football season weight. Damn you ipa’s. Down to 178.5 today(yes I’m crediting 1/2 pounds!). 190 on New Year’s Day.

No alcohol , 8-10k steps a day. Cardio and weights 5x a week, almost no sugar, more protein than carbs, tons of veggies, no processed stuff. Sleep 7-8 hours. Goal is 168 so plugging away.

Hit 173 today. Down from 190 Jan 1. Still doing all of the following. No booze, cardio weights 5x a week., sleep 8 hours, almost no sugar, about a 500 per day calorie deficit. Maintaining a pace of about 1.5 pounds lost per week which is good. Slow and steady wins the race. No booze really makes a ton of difference. Onward to 166.

This can't be said enough.  For those who really want to shed pounds, or fend of some creeping weight gain as you age and your metabolism changes, cutting out alcohol is a game changer.

No man on his deathbed has lamented, “I wish I drank more.”

Was in Puerto Rico this week and hiked a mile up and down in the mud to a waterfall you can jump in.  They also have a rope swing.  (Pretty sure it’s the first time in my life I’ve roped swung into the water.)

Nailed the entire hike.  18# lighter than Jan 1, more flexible than I was in years.  Had family along and the one who’s 45 said, “Half my coworkers could never do this.”

If you let yourself get fat and weak as you get older, there are cool things you will simply not be able to do.  And I sincerely believe if you don’t stimulate your brain, it starts to die in little pieces at a time.  It puts you on the track to being an old, angry a hole of a man.  Watching Fox News all day and being hated by your family.
