Good one. Except Canada is only 1 step behind us on immigration reform. Though they won't deport via military aircraft since they don't have enough.

I wasn't kidding. I know their policies are stringent. I'm not greater than 50% to try to move there but it's an option.

Sorority leopards about to be quite sad.

But the biggest category of agricultural imports from Mexico last year was fresh fruits, of which the US imported $9 billion worth, with avocados accounting for $3.1 billion of that total.

Lets think about that. We import 3.1B of a food we cannot produce in near enough quantity.

ok, i know it sounds stupid to look for logic or reason in anything he does, but i have an honest question.

he wants to do a bunch of terrible shit, we get it. he did terrible shit during his first term, or at least tried to. but the only thing he seemed to care about was the economy. now to him, the economy is mostly the stock market with a splash of black employment numbers, but whatever. it's all he fucking talks about.

so if you're trump, and you can do most of your terrible shit without it affecting the economy (disabling govt agencies, pursuing your perceived political enemies, tax cuts for billionaire friends in exchange for whatever the fuck), then why would you do something like this that directly impacts (a) the actual economy and (b) how americans react to the economy (lower wages, layoffs, higher prices, gas, groceries).

i mean, the economy/stock market was in good shape. and even if biden did most of the heavy lifting post-covid, trump would've taken credit for it anyway, so why not just keep it humming and brag about it? that's what he did for 3 years after obama. all trump cares about is people thinking he's great and thinking he's smart and the best at everything. if the economy was good, he could've played golf 4x a week and spent the other days truthing about the dow.

so the question, and i'm not looking for answers like "because he's a dipshit moron", why do this?

is it to say we're not dependent on any other nations and he thinks that makes him a hero? is it because he (and those around him) genuinely don't understand how it works? and even if they don't, he's outwardly saying it's going to be bad for a while and people will understand. or is he just going full putin and trying to build a moat and fuck everybody over except him? i know the last one seems like the obvious answer, but he's way more fragile snowflake who seeks approval than he is putin strongman who rules with an iron fist.

i'll hang up and listen.

See my post up thread, we go stagflation (more worserest than just a recession). The 1%ers are then able to buy up everything in distress, and there will almost certainly be a shit ton

Cruelty.  It's always the answer.

Also, they want to destroy US society, so they can take more control over it.  They want to funnel all the money from the Treasury and bribes and however else into their pockets while the country burns and they declare martial law.

right, which was the assumption.

so do we think he's ok being seen as the worst president of all time and the useful idiot who presided over the ashes, or does he somehow think this is going to be popular with people outside his cult? and yes, i do think he cares about that stuff almost as much as he wants to be a real billionaire.

putin was like 45 years old when he took over. does trump realize this is not going to work out for him the same way?

He doesn't care what anyone thinks of him.  He's a narcissist who feeds off the adulation of his cult and vitriol against everyone else.  Hell, I don't think he even thinks of himself as a president.  He sees himself as the first king of the US, and as someone who is going to transform the country in his image.

Short it on the way down, buy up distressed assets near the bottom.  Give contracts to bolster it back up.   Maybe the crypto scams were to expedite liquidity for President Convict.

Canada’s version of Trump, who will be their next leader, off the top rope.

1885819065710829892?s=46&t=8XFCjgbF1qQWL

The surly x must not work for long tweets @immamac

Here is the full text:

We must put CANADA FIRST.

That is why Common Sense Conservatives condemn President Trump’s massive, unjust and unjustified tariffs on Canada’s already weak economy. Canada is the United States’ closest neighbour, greatest ally and best friend. We share the longest undefended border and fought alongside Americans in two world wars, Korea and Afghanistan, where 158 of our brave men and women died helping the U.S. avenge the 9/11 attacks. There is no justification whatsoever for this treatment.

The Liberals must put aside their partisan interests and recall Parliament now to pass a Canada First Plan that will:

1. Retaliate with dollar-for-dollar tariffs carefully aimed at maximizing impact on American companies while minimizing impact on Canadian consumers. That means targeting U.S. products that we can make ourselves, buy elsewhere or do without. For example, we must retaliate against American steel and aluminium, as Canadians can make those vital products at home.

2. Put all the tariff revenues into help for affected workers and businesses; Government should not keep a dime of the new revenue.

3. Pass a massive emergency Bring It Home Tax Cut to bolster the economy, stop inflation and save and create jobs. Canada needs a massive tax cut on work, investment, energy, homebuilding and making stuff at home. The Liberal carbon tax and capital gains tax hikes must be the first on the chopping block.

4. Immediately scrap the Liberal anti-resource law C-69 and greenlight LNG plans, pipelines, mines, factories, and port expansions to overseas markets.

5. Bring in truly free trade within Canada by knocking down interprovincial barriers to help replace lost north-south trade with east-west trade and to make us self-reliant.

6. Rebuild our military and take back control of our borders to regain the confidence of our partners, assert our sovereignty, protect our people and put Canada First.

We will protect our economy, defend our sovereignty, bring home production and paycheques and never back down. We will put Canada First—now and always.

He absolutely cares what others think of him.  He doesn't mind if he is hated, he doesn't respect the people who bend the knee to him either.   But to be called an idiot, weirdo, terrible businessman, and incompetent is what gets to him.  To call President Musk his puppet master is humiliating to him.

He most definitely cares what people think of him or what negative things they say about... See Gen. Milley.

Trump can’t let someone retaliate so what his is next move? Bump up the Canadian tariffs? Close the Canadian borders and stop flights? Deport all Canadians? We know one thing is that he can’t do anything to lower the temperature.

I hope he tries to ban Canadian NHL teams from playing in Freedomland.

So, is today the day I pull the trigger on a PS5?
Done. Now, if my son's college fund is going to shit, my retirement plans are going to shit, and the country's going to shit, at least I can play GTA 6 in a couple months.

Literally had a Black Swan conversation with an aggy who admitted to voting for Trump because they believe it will be great for the stock market (that was great under Biden) and their almost 8 figure position in $FNMA and $FMCC.

I'm the end, they said, "Well fuck it, if it all fails, we'll have other problems."

Selfawarewolves gonna start cheering for leopards. Watch.
