Correct. Brady won #4 at age 37. But then he piled them on. Not sure Mahomes has that longevity. He already carries a little more weight around than he needs to.

Rap/Hip-Hop is the most popular genre of music in the US, so it's funny to see people talk about demographics. It doesn't get most popular in the US without the young whites. So LOL at you racist retards.

White here. Both of my teenagers wanted to see halftime show. I told them afterwards it was terrible and to get off my lawn. The mumble rap is just the least interesting music out there IMO

That is certainly possible and unfortunately that may be the only way certain individuals understand the difference between seeing the big picture and being, as Craig Way likes to say, a prisoner of the moment. And even then, a lot of them still won’t get it…and I can’t help but think it’s the same people that were trying to crown Lebron after he was fucking drafted.

Here's the comparison so far. I think it's fine to think Brady was better but stop acting like this isn't impressive and at worst the 2nd best QB ever. Comparing him to Bradshaw? Laughable. The only people being prisoners of the moment are the ones dancing on his grave.

As much as I hate the stupid asshole comments about rap and never want to be on those people's side ever, I think hip hop's era as the dominant form of pop music is starting to wane.

Kendrick is kind of a throwback I think. He is all about the art form and keeping hip hop pure.

And as a rock fan I know that trying to keep something pure and true to it's roots is a great way to kill it as pop music.

I'm a certified hater. Wasn't happy that Kendrick was the performer and I think Drake sucks.

New Orleans is Little Wayne's city and the only good and right answer for the headliner. I was holding out hope K.Dot would do the right thing and bring him on stage, but alas, the world is dark and justice is spare.

Not sure the stats above really matter as during the first part of Brady's super bowl runs, he was more of a game manager and the defense of the Patriots is what lead them to those Super Bowls.  It was around 2006 when Brady started throwing and 2007 when Moss showed up (then later Gronk) that the offense became the center piece of the Patriots, but then the defense actually started to suck.  Mahomes is amazing and his best chance in my mind to receive the GOAT talk was to win 3 in a row which Brady didn't do.  Then someone could argue a three peat and say 4 or 5 Super Bowl wins is better than Brady's 7.  The hard part Mahomes will have is what has been mentioned above about coaching and the team around him.  Belichick was younger than Reid when the 20-year run started, so he stayed for the whole thing.  Mahomes most likely will get a new coach in another year or so and will he be as good as Reid who is one of the best ever?   Will Spags retire at some point and the defense gets worse?  The other issue is Belichick as the GM built the team around Brady multiple times.  You had an amazing D with Seymour, McGinest, Harrison, Vrabel, Brushi, Law that became a D with totally different players over the years like McCourty, Wilfork, Revis, Gilmore.  If you look at the offense it had to be changed over multiple times with different WR's, TE's, RBs, and an offensive line that was always pretty good with different great players over 20 years.   The only way Mahomes reaches Tom Brady's 7 is if the GM of the Chiefs does an amazing job and restocks that roster over and over again (which nobody has been able to do except Belichick so far) or he starts to pull a Lebron James and jumps to different teams every few years that are stacked (Similar to what Brady did when he won his 7th and went to a loaded Bucs team).

Seems like female pop singers are the dominant form of pop music with rap and country close behind.

Hot sluts are the engine of the music industry. Before cell phones and tinder we had to go out to bars and watch local rock bands to see and possibly engage with hot sluts. It drove the scene and those bars full of hot sluts and horny bros gave bands something to work for.

In the late 90s/2000s all the sluts shifted towards wanting to fuck rappers. So everyone became soundcloud wanna be rappers. Rap almost always sucks live too so the live music scene crumbled.

Country has been the only music with a thriving live scene, and the sluts and bros are starting to discover it. Now all the sluts are out looking for a Morgan Wallen and the bros are dressing like him

Is he a walk-in first ballot HOFer? Sure. But to crown him before he's even made the huge step to the plateau Joe Fucking Montana stands on is ridiculous. Yeah, Bradshaw has his 4 rings, but nobody seriously thinks he could hold Joe Cool's jock.

Brady:

335 games, 64.3% comp, 266.3 yards/game, 7.4 yards/att, 1.94 TD/game, 0.63 int/game

Mahomes:

112 games, 66.6% comp, 288.86 yards/game, 7.76 yards/att, 2.19 TD/game, 0.66 int/game.. 2,243 rushing yards

We will see about longevity, but if you ask me to pick between prime Mahomes, Montana, and Brady I am taking Mahomes.

I get it. The audio was terrible, I could barely make out what he was saying. But I don't think that was Kendrick's fault. He seemed to be singing plenty loud.

I had to turn the captions on to follow along, which isn't very hip hop of me.

Agreed. Rock lost it when they stopped appealing to the ladies and the teens and became about being true to rock and roll and all that.

Teenage girls were who what made rock huge.

No, he didn’t.

Look, I get that there’s a certain romance for Patrick. I get that. But the thing is that even if they won last night, that’s still just 4 rings, somewhere in the 40’s on playoff TD passes, 18 playoff wins. That’s still nowhere near Tom. If Patrick wants to catch Brady, he’s got a lot of work to do and his little fanboys aren’t doing him any favors with this “let’s just skip to the end and crown him already” bullshit. 4 rings in 6 years doesn’t make anyone the GOAT. It makes them…Terry Bradshaw.

Is a dig at Bradshaw?

In four Super Bowls Bradshaw threw for 932 yards, completed 49/84 passes for 9 TDs & 4 INTs and a 19.02 yards per completion. The game is way, way different now. In his five Super Bowls Mahomes has thrown for 1,428 yards on 128/196 for 10 TDs & 7 INTs and 11.1 yards per completion. He’s averaged 18 more passing attempts than Bradshaw did.

The beatings the guys took back then also make it impossible to compare QBs from then to now.

Do you not think Bradshaw, or Stabler, or Kenny Anderson could thrive in today’s game? The passing game was so different back then as well. The passing game is also an extension of the running game. Mahomes is currently tied for 146th in career Yards Per Completion, and Bradshaw is 25th. Mahomes averages 14 more passes per game than Bradshaw did and 12 more completions than Bradshaw.

These guys are all great QBs but, I think Bradshaw’s goofy on-air personality somewhat overshadows how damned good he was.

The issue for Mahomes will be the team around him and his athleticism as he ages.  Tom was a pure drop back qb who depended on his mind, conditioning, and quick release to play so old.  Pat is dependent on his legs and that goes away.  How long will Reid coach?  When can the line be repaired?

threepeat? Bart Starr 65,66,67. Called his own plays in the huddle getting hammered in the dirt by deacon jones.

Yes, it really is Jeopardy for morons.  We watched for awhile and there was a part where the category was household decor and they were flashing beds and tables on the screen.

The show gets better as the floor evolves.  The expert category is more defensive as folks avoid “hard” subjects and you lose your category as you take the category of who you beat.  Last night a player won airport codes, last year a guy survived most of the season with Periodic Table.  It’s about pressure as well as folks just seize on the dumbest shit.

I avoid halftime like the plague.  It’s now just choreography that breaks the flow of the game for ads.  Doesn’t matter who the artists are; the same drivel between the same complainers would be here.  They could have had Louis Armstrong, the Beatles, Elvis and Hank Williams and some here would be complaining.

id rather go back to Up with People, jetpack guy, and frisbee dogs.

No scientific analysis done, but the intelligible word coefficient from both these songs is nearly identical.

I could get about 3 out of 5 words he was rapping from the halftime show.   multiple requests to "turn up the volume I can't hear what he is saying" at the SB party I attended.

Probably because he was live singing and the mic was too low vs music sound.

Oh, and Bradshaw’s is the only Super Bowl QB who averaged over 10 yards per attempt, 11.1 YPA.

EDIT: I was incorrect with Mahomes passing yards, it’s 1,328, not 1,428

I read this wrong, but this is just showing that Brady and Mahomes are very good when their OLs play well. Not so much, when they dont. Interesting Brady got his first ring with a poor outing vs the Rams, it kind of highlights the flaws of ranking QBs by Super Bowls.

Yeah Bradshaw was relentless with his accurate bombs in three of those Steeler Super Bowls and Pittsburgh needed every one of them. I don't know why people are acting like he wasn't legendary in his Super Bowl performances.

Sure he was a non-factor in Super Bowl IX, but the Vikings barely had a first down all game. There wasn't much for the Steeler offense to do but just not screw up

I'm no Mahomes fan boy, but I'd probably cut him a bit of slack.  He was running for his freaking life all night.  The performance of the Eagles front 4 was as good as any in a Super Bowl ever.  Just complete domination without any blitz/pressure schemes.

Brady never looked as bad as Mahomes did last night in any of his super bowl losses. In fact in one of them he led his team to a comeback before defense gave up the go ahead.
