I will watch the game.

I could tolerate the Pats more because I was legit impressed by their excellence. The Chiefs just seem to barely squeak by everybody which is...tiresome.

Hate the Eagles though so, I don't anticipate enjoying this much either way.

But hey it is the Super Bowl. Any excuse for a party.

The past 2 years especially, I enjoy watching the KC defense much more than the offense.  2nd half KC Defense will usually have multiple ‘holy shit’ moments, in a good way.

I agree that Brady should not be in the booth, but it's because he sucks.

No team is basing hiring decisions on what Brady says in the Fox booth.

Doesn’t only pertain to hiring decisions.

THis is a classic "will watch until the game gets out of hand/is boring, then I will grudgingly (but actually happily) let my wife talk me into putting an International House Hunters on" Super Bowl.

OK, let me rephrase: no one should be basing any decisions, football or non-football related, on anything Tom Brady says in the Fox booth.

The Pats used to just run over teams, but never in the Super Bowl.

Easily could have lost Rams 1, Seattle and Atl.

We haven't had a good ass kicking dynasty since Cowboys and/or 49ers.

7 AFC Title games in a row just ain't gonna cut it. Whether the Chefs win this February, no franchise's ever been to 3 consecutive SBs.

The Chiefs don't need you to white-knight for them on a UT message board.  Mahomes doesn't think you're cool

Indeed.  But the parameters of what a dynasty is seem to be very fucking elusive.

and I yell for Chuck and X plenty.

Well, one's actually been to 4 consecutive Super Bowls. They just lost every one of them.

Super Bowls used to be blowouts constantly. But since the turn of the century, how many blowouts have we had? I can think of 4 off top, Baltimore/NYG, Tampa/Oakland, Tampa/KC, Seattle/Denver. Is there any others? Brady easily could have lost every Super Bowl he was in in his Pats days. He also could have easily went 9 for 9. He gave them leads in both Giants games and then his defense let Eli drive the length of the field for the game winning TD. He had ridiculous stats against the Eagles but still lost. That was a wild game.

Super Bowl is perfectly split at 27-27 between NFL/NFC vs AFL/AFC.  AFC is 17-10 since ending the 13-year NFC winning streak, which is where so many of those blowouts happened.

Since that streak ended the >2TD victories have been

Denver over Atlanta

Baltimore over New York

Tampa Bay over Oakland

Seattle over Denver

Tampa Bay over Kansas City

If only there was video that expressed my dislike of Philly.  Oh wait, there is.

Billy Burr's awesome Philly Rant:

(If you've never heard it, at a comedy show in Philly, the drunk crowd booed the comedian before Bill Burr off the stage. So Burr whent savage.)

In a nutshell, I guess I'm cheering for KC.

Lol. Savage is putting it mildly. And after one trip to Philly I agree with him.

If Chiefs win the super bowl again can i look forward to more Mahomes hawking shitty Subway sandwiches, Maauto ads, and Andy Reid uttering the words "nuggies" and "bundle rooski"?

If so, go fucking Eagles!!!!!

The anti-KC referee conspiracies have gotten so absurd, it has gotten me on the side of cheering for the Chiefs. I also want to see Worthy ball out. Go KC.

wish I could live my life floating from dynasty bandwagon to dynasty bandwagon and just totally be oblivious to the machinations of the leagues that create them, would be really nice and probably better for my health than actually being a legit fan

I was wondering that during the game but noticed it was way more than the Texan fans. I think most Texan fans like me moved on after last week. I thought the game was pretty well called yesterday except for that 4th down spot. The worthy catch was weird but I don’t know how they could have called it differently

The bitching just seems to be a popular thing now for every fanbase I guess and it is kind of annoying

The nfl has had success due to parity. Dynasties create these issues and turn people off although it draws in some. Green Bay, patriots, chiefs were all teams people didn’t mind until they got over saturated by them. At least to me.

I think free agency has a lot to do with that. Talent gets spread around more, which makes it hard to develop and sustain a team that can rout anyone when it's on. Also, teams have come to take the draft much more seriously, which ended the days where the likes of Gil Brandt could pick up a high first round pick for a couple of stiffs.

As a Dallas native who has given up on the cowgirls, I will root for the Eagles because anything that possible hurts that tales of the crypt keeper skeletor mother fucker and his mother fucker Jones family will make me smile for one cold second. After the Eagles win the SuperBowl and see find out that Taylor Swift and the Mahomes family are in on pedophilia, I will then root for a fucking torpedo to hit the SS Jones.

You know who cries about refs? The losing fanbases.

I liked Philly. Valley Forge and all the other Revolutionary stuff was cool.

But I mainly liked it because I fatted on cheesesteaks.

Mmmmm, cheesesteaks.

Two things Philly has going for it.  Cheesesteaks and Monk's Cafe.  Why Monk's Cafe you ask?  Well besides very good food it is one of the  very few places outside of California that gets Russian River beers distributed to it (they also have a lot of other very hard to come by stuff).  One of the best spots for beer in the US, if not the world.

Will never root for the Eagles. Plus, Chiefs have a couple of Longhorns.

I hope Worthy has 150 yards and 3 TD’s, and Charles O sacks hurts 4 times.

Can I place a bet on the under with you on these?

Fresca for the win!!!  Old school football is always fun. Those guys had to play it for the love of the game because contracts were way low.
