Anastasia? Cock block that CCCP sock.*  I tuned this douche out during his FISA warrant (incessant) ramblings years ago. Delicious decision!  Never looked back except when he causes rubbernecking collisions for this board.  Does this comrade (and I mean that in the 1980’s Rooskie pejorative sense) even have any connection to UT?

*alliteration bitches!

that film was free on youtube for a number of years but no longer....

it was a remake of this 1984 german film with subtitles, which is shockingly serendipitous with current events

welp, that first 5 mins could be present day US. wanting to clear out the justice ministry and judges that don't agree with the hitler

we all knew what the end game was, but damn they're moving in warp speed to get their Reich up and running

Which may be the one thing that saves us. His arrogance in moving as quickly as possible thinking it can’t be stopped and also believing that he is beloved with a mandate. He’s overplayed his hand with everyone and people starting to get a glimpse that he is naked. If he had moved slow and focused on one thing at a time instead of everything everywhere all at once, then I think pushback would have been softer

About this border czar: remember when Republicans HATED czars of any kind and feckless Democrats went along with them?

https://www.politico.com/story/2009/09/gop-czar-revolt-scores-its-first-win-026781

Republicans and a handful of Democrats have called on the White House to review and suspend its use of czars.

“In the wake of these recent revelations, the president should suspend any further appointments of so-called czars until Congress has an opportunity to examine the background and responsibilities of these individuals and to determine the constitutionality of such appointments,” said Rep. Mike Pence (R-Ind.), Chairman of the House Republican Conference, who called on Jones to resign.

The czar-attacks have begun to catch fire far beyond the Beltway. In town hall meetings across the country this August, questioners slammed the administration’s advisers, claiming that they allowed the White House to wield unchecked power.

It’s an argument that’s been fed by Republicans in Congress, who see an opening to attack the credibility of the popular administration. In an Arizona town hall meeting last week, Republican Sen. John McCain joked that Obama, “has more czars than the Romanovs” — a laugh line he frequently uses. Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich calls the czars, “administrative chaos.”

Someone on MSNBC (I think it was Andrew Weissman) was saying the entire Bill of Rights only refers to "people" and never "citizens."

Also:

Under the EO, that interpretation is prospective only, as of a certain date.

However, if SCOTUS buys their argument, there won't be an "effective date."  And Barron won't be a citizen.  And neither will be Donny Jr., Ricky and Vanky.

REPORTER: Is it the best use of the administration's resources to go after moms of young kids?

MILLER: Is it your view that if a Democratic president releases..

REPORTER: Stephen, I don't have a view about what Democratic presidents do; I'm asking what the Republican president you work for wants to do with his resources.

I know its hard cause you guys aren't quite consistent about it, but I think homophobic references are one of the autoban offenses here.

I don't like chugging cock, but some people do. And that is ok. You should be free to chug cock if you want.

Let me help you. The cock chugger reference is directed at you for sucking off the current administration. It's another way to call you a boot licker. No one here saw it as a slight against the gays except you.However,@TexArcher is more than welcome to appropriate a replacement name from the black community. Uncle Tom.

Word out there that ICE is actively nabbing people, including members of a construction crew stopped at a gas station, in the Rundberg and Braker area.

Hey! Don't nab our construction crews!

That's the one a few posters here use to lob at BrothaHorn, right?  Also seemed weird that that epithet, being the result of racially charged blackface minstrel show adaptations of the novel, was allowed here without pushback.

That is certainly going to have a chilling effect.

It is like suggesting defense attorneys are obstructing justice and enabling crime.

They aren't "suggesting" it.  They are out-and-out saying it, repeatedly: attorneys who represent ANYONE acting contrary to the interests of the Regime will and must suffer harsh retribution (see the Exec Orders against multiple firms).

It's every fever dream the GQP IMAGINED about the Biden admin....turned into full reality.

[maga] I bet it was migrant criminals, the worst of the worst, impersonating ICE, FBI, and Homeland trying to make Trump look bad and was just robbing people. Might even be woke liberal pansy demoCRAPS doing it to undermine America! [probably]

That story is disgusting.

No it's not.  It is:

1) the new normal

2) acceptable - even exciting - to the MAGAs (the crushing of all civil liberties tells you the Regime is truly making America Great Again)

3) acceptable - even exciting - for every single person who used to claim to be "libertarian" and was worried about an "overreaching federal government."

This is exactly what we wanted, exactly what we voted for, and it's going exactly as promised.  If you don't like it, you are an enemy of the Regime, and you best watch yourself.  And don't even think of hiring an attorney....the Regime will go after him, too.

Yeah, that phrase is probably the most insulting phrase in our culture when WE say it to one another. For it to be effective the person saying it needs to meet certain qualifications. You must've clutched your pearls. Not everything is the N-word.

Gotta break a few eggs, etc.  Think you're gonna sue them?  Let me introduce you to their defense team from Latham, Skadden, K&E, etc., who when armed with the already absurd qualified immunity doctrine are going to be able to make sure there is never legal recourse for anyone at ICE, Border Patrol, US Marshal Service or FBI for any of this shit.  I mean, this is exactly what we're looking for -  tenacious law enforcement officers - right???

Bingo bango bongo.   And the entire scenario you just posted is CELEBRATED by "libertarians" and "strict constitutional conservatives."

Because irony isn't just dead, it's been run through the woodchipper.

Resident libertarian is more concerned with who is offended by certain slurs than he is by lawyers being visited by badge-less “officers” and being fired for talking to migrants.

Curious.

I believe they call that "guvment overreach". Supposedly those libertarian fellows are not that fond of that behavior. Definitely curious.

Sorry I guess for responding to the series of personal attacks.

The Clay Jackson thing seems like a wrongful termination suit may be in order. The related badgeless officers story sounds a little suspect in his account, but I would like to see more details. Appears that they guy is claiming that they used electronic measures against him to disable his ring cameras from recording the encounter. If that is the case, that should be illegal, and they should be held accountable for that.
