Surly liberals love the lies that led us into Iraq and establishment cons like Brennan and Clapper. It’s really been an amazing transformation to watch. Rolling in to straight up neocon platitudes.

Do you think it was untruthful.

By any generally accepted definition of traitor, Snowden is one. Why couldn’t she just say she agreed with what he did, but he is most definitely a traitor.

Yes ignore anyone pointing out the absolutely absurdity of the the shitlibs here.

I’ve already posted the caps in another thread ant and will do so again. Tulsi spouts absolute run of the mill surly broadly accepted positions from ca 2008-14. You rudderless shitlibs are the ones that need to find a port.

Any appointee of Trump deserves suspicion at the very least because his every nominee is primarily chosen to be a stooge. Some stooges are relatively qualified if the reference points are RFK Jr. and Hegspeth. They're merely dangerously incompetent or crazy. Take a look at Patel, and you have a candidate who is not qualified to run the FBI but dangerously competent to abuse it.

Gabbard? She's probably better than those guys. I don't need to see her testimony to know she has neither the experience or any proven qualities to be considered for DNI in any administration operating with even a molecule of good faith.

The big picture of the assembly of this administration is pretty much all the evidence you need to reject these nominess out of hand should you be one of the minority in this country that care about or even have a mild understanding of the republic.

When the overall theme is dishonesty, corruption, and abuse of power, why quibble on the choice of minions?

Reminder. James clapper was DNI and lied to Congress, was never held accountable. But tell us more about good faith.

Musk has not been elected or appointed. DOGE is not a real department. Nevertheless, when agency heads try to block DOGE from accessing data on public employees and US citizens, and the Treasury department which issues checks, those department heads, who are following the law, are put on leave by turnip.

Clapper should have been held accountable.  There's no questioning that, King Contrarian.   Now explain why Clapper was unqualified to be DNI.   Because Gabbard is not qualified.

You have 24,000 posts on this website. That is a sad pathetic waste of time for someone that has ever in his life said to anyone else, "go touch grass." Fuck off.

The only one of the big nominations that's qualified is Rubio. I loathe the little fucker, but he's qualified for the job.  The rest are clowns.

I hate to break it to FIL, but there's no seat on that Mars spaceship for him. Or any of the rest of us.

We are lucky. Any dumb motherfuckers that end up on Mars thinking it’s some sort of viable alternative to Earth are in for a rude awakening. It’s basically a rocky, dusty Antarctica with effectively no water or air, absolutely no life (so… nothing to eat or to use to make shelters or medicine), and zero protection from ionizing cosmic radiation. It’s basically the Moon but further away (and thus with depressingly low sunlight levels).

The maximum life expectancy for Mars colonists would be the duration of whatever food and water they were able to bring. Odds are they’ll die much sooner than that. Procreation and propagation of our species there is simply out of the question.

Mars is a dead-end for humanity. The severity of calamity necessary to make living on Mars more palatable than Earth is essentially world-ending. Like a collision with another planet or being swallowed by an expanding Sun. It’s not even a remotely better option compared to massive global warming, nuclear war, or even an extinction level asteroid strike.

So of course the moron techbros running the world now think it’s a good idea.

Colonizing Mars is a grift.  Exploring Mars is something we should be doing.  Colonizing no.  To have the power to deal with all the shit you just described and sustain life 140 million miles from the home planet means you have the power to fix the issues on the still currently thousands of times more hospitable home planet.

The issue is we as a society would expect actual results for our "fix the earth" money.  You can run the Mars colonizing grift for a much longer time, falling back on the "it's really really hard" excuse when you produce no results but have moved billions/trillions of dollars into your pocket.

Maybe. But I'm not sure how that brings asset forfeiture into the mix.

We had to remove our anti Elon sticker because we’ve been bumped on the highway going 60, road raged against (swerve into us, cut us off), and someone yelled at us. The last thing we need for a car we have paid off and don’t feel like it’s a wise decision to replace right now is my own fucking allies vandalizing our car. We bought the damn thing 6 years ago. Vandalizing our car does nothing but hurt me. Elon doesn’t give a fuck.

Hopefully they won’t vandalize yours!  I don't necessarily want people’s shit to get fucked up, but I really hope people quit buying Teslas.  I can’t stand them, the headlights are too bright and most people who drive them can’t handle the power worth a shit.  When I’m out in my hot rod, Teslas try to race me all the time.  It’s all fun and games until we hit the first curve, then they damn near run off the road and I get the LOL from my rear view mirror.

That sounds extreme for a civil suit brought by federal employees.

If Elon Musk violated a court order, I assume he would face arrest and/or a fine.

Irrelevant to my point and what you quote. You're addressing my quote as if I stated a high standard was the norm. I invoked a molecule of it as hyperbole, but it's really not terribly hyperbolic considering the shitstain calling the shots and making appointments at the preseent time.

You're point suggests that some liar in the past qualifies Gabbert. That's way below your standard. Frankly, the name-calling is beneath your standard, as well. That said, your usual standard of decorum is higher than those addressing you. Maybe you're fed up.

Written respectfully.

Could Musk's assets get seized by a court until he fucks off?

Good luck with that. But I have wondered what percentage of stock in certain companies is owned by Dems and what a massive synchronized dump would do to oligarchs’ respective net worths.

Does an angry mob righteously defending democracy and pillaging the home of traitors qualify? Used to.

Musk busting down the door at Treasury or USAID might qualify under the being loud at a secure government operation law or maybe misdemeanor damge to property. Elon's is shaking in his boots, I'm sure.

It's like people want interstellar to be real life. There ain't no wormhole to save us, and Mars isn't going to cut it. Our technology is not remotely advanced enough. And if it ever does come to pass that we have to leave this planet, it would have to be pointlesslu far in the future to even contemplate if you think any but a couple hundred spots are going to be open. As I think has been posted elsewhere, Don't Look Up is a much more apt comparison.
