Luka looks sad

He's looked that way almost non-stop since being traded.

He'll flash a smile once in awhile, that quickly gives way to a luka-warm smile.

Luka still playing like dogshit.

Pretty much played like cheeks since the trade, right?

Can both teams have lost the trade? lol

Lebron with the unusual double double 40/11....

Meanwhile, Luka is 25 years old and can barely make it through 3 quarters without being out of breath.

It's entirely possible that both of these teams lose that trade.

I don't really think it's possible for LA to lose that trade. Even if he never gets into shape and never plays at his previous level, they still win the trade 100 times out of 100.

Only way Mavs win is if Luka leaves LA and Mavs win the title

Yeah, long term LA wins no matter what.  For them, it was a long term move anyway.  Luka is 25 and they can (hopefully) build around him for 10 years.  AD has 2-3 years left, at best.

And he's missed half the games this season and he's not even 26.  He also missed about 20 games each of the previous 3 seasons.

Best bet is that Lebron rubs off on him but otherwise, how much is he going to playing at 32?  I get that AD had the same problems and turns 32 next month.  It's a much worse trade for Dallas but there is some risk on the other side.

This is stupid.

I wonder if it ever occurs to Cuban that he flushed his whole basketball legacy down the toilet with that sale. I had that dude's back for 25 years. Fucking wild.

I always found Cuban annoying, but he was "our" annoying owner, we embraced his eccentricities. This is one of my favorite pictures of all time. I seriously still can't fathom how or why this has happened.

That's the crazy thing.  It's not like he needed the money.  I don't understand the sale at all.  He's already won capitalism.  What does another billion or two do for his lifestlye?  Not a damn thing.

Sometimes you just cash your chips in. He sells 73% for over 10x what he paid 25 years ago. Then he bets on the come line that gambling gets approved in Texas and his remaining 27% turns into another 3 billion or so. Of course he doesn't need it. 20 million is fuck you money.   150 times that is get the fuck out of my way money. But that's not how these guys work.

I think he's divesting to run for president.

Speaking of "why in the fuck?" questions.

I like  Cuban but ugh, no thanks, we are absolutely in the mess we are in because of billionaires running for office.  They have zero idea what the average American is dealing with.

I was just thinking that if this was soccer in South America Nico would be lucky to not get shot.

Not even from a beleaguered Mavs fan, necessarily. It could be from someone that hates the Lakers. Or a fan of the NBA in general.

What a fucking twat waffle.
