I am sure this well help with market stability.   On the plus side, now every business book can be updated to include the US as defaulting on bonds and no longer being the standard.

Wait, Ana things DOGE is good???

Of course he does.

Long on record with substantial cutting of government spending. My preference would be to start with the military. But I think that I have also proposed in the past just a straight up short haircut across the board initially, and then recalibrating from there.

DOGE isn't the ideal vehicle, not close. But we never have an ideal vehicle given the two party structure and the nature of how this politics game is played. So we roll with what we got.

Do you think it will actually cut spending? Or will funds just be diverted to other areas that whatever party of choosing wants them diverted to?

Diverted to Musk, because he knows what's best. The X bank will start handling all government payouts soon.

That’s the whole game. DOGE’s objective is “government efficiency” in as much as that country with Pyongyang as its capital is a “Democratic People’s Republic.” One would be a fool to believe it literally. Reminds me of when republicans were saying in 2003 or so that No Child Left Behind was about “making teachers accountable.”

Government waste is doubtlessly a problem, but it’s not a problem that’s solved by/with billionaire money hoarders.

Also governments aren't run like regular businesses.

In early 2021, Corisitine, then 16, activated the tesla.sexy website. He described it as an image-sharing site that would prioritize the confidentiality of its users. “Why are we the sexiest? Privacy… When you use tesla.sexy, all your images are encrypted. We do not log IP addresses, device agents or anything else,” the site’s homepage stated in March 2021, according to archives from the Wayback Machine. “If you like features like we do, you'll love tesla.sexy… Fake links, lots of cool domains and effects to put on your images for ultimate shitposting.”

Coristine updated the website’s homepage in April 2021, stating that it offered users, “Image hosting with a touch of insanity.” The site update indicated that it catered specifically to image-sharing among Discord users: “You can customize embeds, use fake links (only works on Discord), use random domains and much more… Images embed within a second on Discord. Uploading images is also an incredibly speedy process.” Again, Coristine emphasized that tesla.sexy would protect the identities of users who used the site to share images. “Images are encrypted at rest, and in transit,” the site stated.

An analysis of URL traffic to tesla.sexy between April 2021 and September 2021 shows that numerous noxious URLs redirected to Coristine’s site, including, “children-sex.party,” “child-porn.store,” “kkk-is-cool.club,” “nigga.rentals,” “nigga-sex.download,” “owns-a-slave.shop,” “raping-women.club,” “ketamine-rape.date,” “rape.business,” and “rapes-wo.men.” Internet archives of the URLs show they redirected traffic to tesla.sexy but any content they may have linked to has disappeared.

Grain of salt definitely required, as Daily Kos has a rating of “mixed” and Muskwatch is unvetted. I guess openly racist folks get no benefit of the doubt from me..

Edited to point out Legum claims Muskwatch has been cited in two federal lawsuits against turnip. So there is a actual disprovable fact for those inclined to do so.

Despicable human. “The worst people” doesn’t come close to an accurate description.

I wonder how these pro-corporate, anti-government folks would react if the government shut down a business the moment it finds any evidence that a regulation had been violated?

Boeing cut corners bringing the 757 max?  Several hundred people died?  Sayonara, bitches.  You are no longer allowed to exist and thoughts and prayers to your employees.

Somehow I don't think there would be the same zeal...

Well, we have reports now of Democrat Governor's forced to sue in order to restore promised funds, that were arbitrarily cut. Meanwhile, Republican Governors just go straight to Trump administration to get promised funds released. We know by level of funds it is Republican states that are far heavily dependent on federal dollars, so we can expect any "savings" to seemingly come from Democrat States.

There must be in-groups whom the law protects but does not bind, alongside out-groups whom the law binds but does not protect.

Yeah, apparently that "efficiency" is leading to half a billion dollars in food and medicine that's going to spoil waiting in ports etc. due to the freeze in funding to deliver.

I heard this reporter on The Majority Report today and he presented a very persuasive and terrifying case. He's been writing about these tech freaks for a long time in SF and has some great insights. Sure seems like his theory is exactly what is happening right now.

Give him a few minutes of your time....

I was planning on hooking up with Sydney Sweeney tonight, but instead I went home with the 60-year old blonde at the end of the bar who has half her teeth, is pushing three bills, and was bragging about getting spit-roasted by two guys last night. So we roll with what we got.

I apologize for quoting @Anastasis, but I had to share my analogy.

It's not a good one. Might be better if you included the fact that you usually just get buttfucked every night, and not by choice. People around you have been talking about pussy for as long as you can remember, but they just keep buttfucking you. You have a potential out here. Do you take the swing at something different or do you just keep grabbing your ankles and acting like, well maybe I just wait here at the bar until Sydney shows up.

Musk giving press briefings behind the POTUS desk wearing a tan suit, I mean hat.

Don’t listen to what they say, look at what they do. This presser sounds infinitely reasonable even if major changes are happening.

what they are doing is entirely different. Saying one thing and doing another is the definition of propaganda. Even if his examples of anecdotal waste are 100% true, what they are doing isn’t common sense modernization. They are killing agencies, stopping all federally funded medical research, stopping all funding for programs that no one doubts are valid and important, and more and more in direct violation of the law and the constitution, claiming it’s what the people want. Unfortunately, many will listen and say carry on because they have no ability to evaluate the differences between what they say and what they do.

Yeah but even what he is saying is horse shit.

I've peaked behind the curtain myself and seen what appear to be technical inefficiencies compared to what you find in the private sector. However, you quickly learn why government systems are slower to adapt than private industry.

Availability is usually the reason government systems are upgraded at a slower pace. In the private sector downtime is measured in dollars. In the government sector it isn't, it's more about the impact on the particular agency's mission. Take down a utility's distribution network and thousands of people lose power. Fuck with the Social Security payment system and millions of elderly Americans don't receive their fixed income.

You balance the inefficiencies for stability because citizens rely on many of these critical systems. This is the part that infuriates me the most. Musk doesn't ever address the people that rely on all of these government systems. He treats it like it's fucking Twitter.

I didn’t say he made sense and frankly it doesn’t matter. It’s all bullshit. The best indicator that it is all bullshit is what he is doing. Talking about what he says is a waste of time. Want to eliminate agencies? Mike Fucking Johnson said he supports it. Make congress pass the law then it’s not unconstitutional to eliminate USAID or the Dept of Education. What musk is saying and what he is doing are totally different things.

Not that this hasn’t been said plenty, but man when they didn’t execute every single traitor at the end of the Civil War, well, that was not our finest moment. Should have lined up the lot of them from Lee on down to every officer in the traitor army and had them hung. Those old confederate states are mostly worthless husks that are net takers and they always will be.
