Oh, and I don’t have to vote for death, and blood. This admin has already delivered plenty and promises to deliver more.
Current estimated deaths due just to the indiscriminate destruction of USAID:
278837fc3ee1fcdc99f2731c130d81e7.jpg

Even if you want to quibble with the numbers, it is undeniable that thousands of people who would otherwise be alive are now dead because of DOGE’s actions, which didn’t discriminate between programs, or actually LOOK for “waste, fraud, and abuse” when taking a flame thrower to them.
So, we’re getting plenty of death. But there’s a difference between you and me. I call for suffering as hyperbole, making the point that maybe if people felt the pain they are rooting for, they would no longer support it.
You, on the other hand, actually support it. Your supporting DOGE and what it has actually done speak loudly. As loudly as 150k dead and counting.
You have the nerve to lecture me for suggesting a hypothetical death as you cheer 150k actual deaths. Perfection.

Yes, yes it would.

Does anyone really think no one has ever thought of that before?  The reason it hasn't been done is cost.

All of this shit Elmo is tearing down is going to require building back up, and that's going to cost a shit-ton of money.

As someone with maybe just a little insight into data models as they relate to different health care IT infrastructures, this is a huge area for optimization. It's frankly amazing the just total politically oriented push back on the shit that we all know is waste and potential fraud and abuse.

I support reducing redundancy in government bureaucracy and the updating and enhanced interoperability of government IT healthcare and beneficiary systems. It was not too long removed that the pre-ledge poster known as brisketexan would have supported the same.

That’s a great idea. “Big Balls” isn’t the guy to spearhead that.

Cool. He really makes the trains run on time.
What about…literally all the other shit he’s actually done (noting that pretty much all he’s done on the data front is break shit before having replacements to implement)?
And as always…don’t forget the body count. DOGE has ended more human lives faster than every neocon air strike of the past 30+ years. Don’t forget those.

LOL. Clown shit. Does this type of nonsense really work for you in your litigation experience. Must be a really simple job.

In reality I don't think that your legal practice nor your juries are that simple. But willing to flex on the latter cause people.

You are totally divorced from reality. And just putting it out there for all to assess in very simple and straightforward terms. Your ledge is fn weird man.

Your ability to dissemble and avoid clear-as-day truths is limitless…yet still unimpressive. It’s just tired and boring.
DOGE has indisputably racked up a significant human body count. Real things, real actions with real, non-theoretical effects - I cited a source, and while there’s surely room to argue about the accuracy of the number, there’s no debate that there IS a number, and it’s significant. Real people who are now real dead. Not platitudes in a spoon-fed video of meaningless words. What do you think of what DOGE has actually done? - account for the stacks of dead humans in your answer.
That I have asked the question at least 4 times, and you repeatedly fail to answer…well, when a jury sees that, they know what your answer is. It’s not a new technique. You think you’re fooling someone, which is pretty embarrassing for you.

There will always be a reason to whine about dialing down any reduction in government spending. Always. And lots of sob stories. Some reasonable and some not so much so. Suck it up guys. We are on an untenable financial path as a country. We either take the lumps now or take them later. I think the latter involves far greater risk.

All, we need to cut Ana’s household budget. He’s spending himself into the poorhouse. Now, we COULD look at specific spending, and make thoughtful cuts, or we could just burn his house down. That place is a cash-sink, what with the maintenance, utilities, and whatnot. Clearly, burning down his house is the way to go. And if you say “Brisket, at least let him get his family out first,” I’ll tell you that pussy libtard talk like that is what’s put Ana in this mess in the first place. Light it up, and save Ana!

I cited a source. I didn’t make it up. It’s not disputed by anyone sane (that there is a body count).

Lots of people and sources have quantified the specific impact of various programs: malaria prevention, infant nutrition, etc etc. There’s no argument that people - and not just a handful - have died.

@Anastasis You're quickly losing some of the goodwill you earned when you personally reached out to offer comfort, understanding, and knowledge as my dad lay dying of Covid in a small-town hospital while my PA sister, who dropped everything at her practice in Denver, was desperately trying different means of treatment for my mom's recovery at home, who was also in a bad way with Covid while my sister was living in my parents' RV next to the house for a month, putting on her special hospital spacesuit each time she entered the house. In that moment, you patiently explained what you thought was best at that time, which I continue to greatly appreciate to this day.

Back then, you showed empathy, kindness, and humanity.

The stuff you're saying right now is just fucking callous, ignoring all the deleterious effects that are ruining the lives of hundreds of thousands of people, both here in the US and abroad. At the time, a little over four years ago, you flipped a switch for a little while, turning on your education and training, but now, you've turned that switch off and let your individual ideology overtake the humanity you once showed me. I know you still have that setting switched on when you correctly criticize what the Israelis were (are) doing to the Palestinians.

That empathy stuff is a good thing. It shows you're not a sociopath...unless you're really good at faking it and have totally fooled me.

It's okay that we all don't believe the exact same stuff, and I'm going to still disagree with a lot of shit you say, but what's most bothersome is the touch of malignant glee that lingers around some of your latest posts. I mean, you came across as a burn-it-all-down guy for a while during the first four years of this jackass, but I think you actually kind of mean this shit now, disregarding any internal emotional guardrails you'd developed to cope in life to get along.

You're genuinely coming across as a belligerent -- someone who seeks joy from the suffering of others.

And what makes this all the worse is that you're digging in on your habit of just not communicating in a straightforward way, as if you want to make people divine your intent. I just have got to say, that shit is some veritably manipulative behavior. You're not the Oracle of Delphi.

Why can't you be a normal guy again, identifying specific problems you see, exploring ideas, explaining your viewpoint, not being cagey, and offering up what you think are good solutions to your grievances without causing harm to other humans?

None of the above is meant as an insult; I'd just like to fucking understand.

Straight up we are trying to reduce the monthly nut over here. No one is talking about burning down the house, but everyone needs to lean up. And maybe we are ultimately more risk on. I got reasonable backstops, but not at the same level as the US Gov.

Yeah, that ,5% of annual budget savings from gutting USAID is totally worth the loss of life and soft power that comes with it.

The sin of empathy, am I right?

Again with this stupid fucking sentiment. "We need to break it down and build something better in its place. It won't always be perfect, but it has to be done."

Cool. Let's trust the most self-serving narcissist ever, who destroys and bankrupts everything he touches, and the richest man in the world, who has made billions off the back of government subsidies and government contracts. And Big Balls. It's going to work out great for all of us. Because reasons.

Cool. You do that by leaning up. You don’t do it with flamethrowers. I’ve cut a dozen budgets in my life (aside from my own household). Sometimes some hard cuts that hurt to make, and left people/needs wanting. Institutions survived and continued due to our work - which is not unique, we ran a drill that has been run countless times.
Never once did we take a flamethrower to things. Which kept us from slashing things that had low cost, high reward (or high consequence if you cut them).
Nothing like that is happened with DOGE. Nothing.
Instead, it’s almost all chaotic destruction at the hands of literal sociopaths. And yes, thousands of people are now dead, more dying every day. To save .000000001% of our spending. It’s insane. Oh, and when you realize that the suffering is seen as a PLUS by these people…well, that’s the cherry on top.

Cross posting, but it ought be posted here, too.

Here’s Warren Buffet’s quote:

Quote

Buffett also shared just how much Berkshire Hathaway contributes to the federal government, revealing an astonishing figure: "We sent in over $5 billion to the US federal government last year. If 800 other companies had done the same thing, no other person in the United States would have had to pay a dime of federal taxes—no income taxes, no Social Security taxes, no estate taxes."

Here’s a link to the video.

https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/news/warren-buffett-paid-5-billion-in-taxes-and-says-if-800-other-companies-paid-their-share-no-one-else-would-have-to-pay-a-dime/vi-AA1zQyuf#details

But, yeah, sociopathic narcissists are sanguine about an estimated three million deaths, in one year, worldwide, to avoid folks paying their fair share of taxes.

Whatever you want to call it. I’m just guessing that I pay a greater percentage of what I earn in federal income taxes than Leon, Bezos and the rest of them. That should get rectified.
