Fuck Keuchel. I want no part of that bitch as a top 3 starter at any point in the PO. He’ll do for a spot start to allow other guys to pitch on normal rest but he’s earned himself a seat for this postseason as far as I’m concerned and a one-way ticket out of town once the season is finished.

My playoff rotation if Morton is not right...

Verlander, Cole, pitcher by committee

with james, valdez, mchugh, peacock, you could certainly cobble a game together a few innings at a time if you needed to, without using the theoretical 7-8-9 guys you would want to use in the other games.

not to mention lmj, if he's healthy enough.

Twins surprisingly didn't fuck it up. Magic # down to 3 now. I like our chances of being able to win 3 out of 7 against Toronto and Baltimore

Especially on the road...

The A's are also on the road the rest of the way only they only have 6 games remaining.

I don't know what the odds of winning the division are outright but they have to be pretty high at this point.  Bring on OAK vs MFY and Go A's!

they basically have to win out and have us go 2-5 to tie.  i'll take my chances with that situation.

they're only 1.5 back of the yankees though.

really want to get this thing done by end of toronto series.  give everyone a day off the next day in balt.  then play guys as needed the last 2-3 days of the season.

for those that care about the logistics of clinching, keep in mind that oakland will be playing on the west coast while we're in toronto.  so it would be best if we worked the magic number down to 1 before one of our games, so that we could clinch on the field with a win, instead of in the clubhouse with an a's loss.  just sayin.

I know the playoffs can be a "be careful what you wish for" situation, but man I'd be pulling for the Yankees if they meet OAK in the WC game. Because I'd rather run into the Yankees than the A's if it comes to that. The Yankees are good, but Judge may be rusty from the wrist injury, Gregorius is likely out, Severino hasn't been the same the second half of the season, etc.

I only care about our first round match up, most likely Cleveland

ill worry about the next opponent after we beat Cleveland

Agreed; just saying I always root for the teams I perceive to be better to lose. Obviously all moot if we can't get past first round.

Any chance to thump the Yankees is one to look forward to.

We’ll be ok with Dallas. Wouldn’t be surprised if we don’t see CFM until the ALCS

Not no, but Hell no. He might be our 6th best starting pitcher right now. James and Valdez have been pitching much better than this guy. He is not the same pitcher he was a few years ago.

James has. Valdez is walking 6 guys per 9. Hard (free) pass on that.

Hinch thinks Morton will be fine and is planning to have him make his next scheduled start.  He says if it had been a playoff game, they wouldn't have taken him out.  They were planning on him getting an early hook yesterday, so they shut him down in the 1st when his velocity was down a bit.

That's huge news.  I wouldn't mind if they held him his next start and just did a nice bullpen session instead.  We need him 100% in October.

good luck....you aren't getting anyone at 100% in October.

Did anyone happen to get the email for the postseason tickets?  They said the drawing/notifications would be on(or around) Sept 21st.  I don't know of anyone who has been notified yet, so was just trying to see if we were all unlucky or what lol

His stat line for the 6 innings he threw in relief of Morton was outstanding.

Sure. But I’m not starting a guy with worse peripherals than Keuchal  in a playoff series based on one relief outing.
