Until Giles is starting and we're resting half of our regulars, we should be favored in every game.

perhaps you haven't been watching much espn or mlbtv, but the yankees are the best team ever. their WS victory parade is next weekend

You're right. I've intentionally avoided both since the Stanton move.

I'm in. Hit the Astros -1.5 yesterday. Might take the same bet today or parlay an Astros win with another game.

I’m already up 200 on them. Keuchel is -190 today.

you should be pounding the runline on every road game except cle/nyy/bos.

Not a fan of that. I’ve got the juice to play with now being up. I’d rather just go ML and take my lumps here and there

i speak from experience.  rl on the road.  never at home, and never in nl games.  but al on the road with a team that scores like we do - the numbers don't lie.

You’re probably right.

they discussed it on mlb central this morning.  their response was "gallo gets paid to hit homers, so that's what he'll continue to try to do."  i don't question the approach for the majority of the game.  that said, if it was 1-1 in the b9 and he was leading off the inning, and saw that bregs was in left, i would be pretty pissed if i was a fan and he didn't try anything possible to get on first.

I’d be surprised to see that 4 man outfield today with DK (ground ball pitcher) on the bump.

True. But then again, DK is a Gold Glover on the mound and is pretty quick to hop over toward the third base line on dribblers and bunts. Guess we'll see.

They will still play the shift with Gallo. Just not the outfield one.

prop bet - Gallo with a bunt hit

I'll be curious to see if one Jerry Callo tries to bunt against the shift tonight. Or ever. Sounds like he's conflicted over the whole thing, as I'd expect a dead guy to be.

I was a little surprised he didn’t try in the 6th when he came up to bat with only 1 out and the score only 3-0. JV had shut them down to that point and may have been a good chance to chase him before the end of the inning and put our bullpen in a little higher stress situation.

I just noticed the Rangers thread with 2 pages while ours has 17 pages.  It made me grin.  Also, fuck Dallas.

That ratio probably will carry out over the season. We win 170 (minimum)...they win 20 (maximum).

But they have so much to be proud of. Did you know that they have won just as many world series games as the Astros?

Gonna be awesome when both Bregs and Jake homer today on their birthday...
Especially with Jake’s being the pinch-hit variety

Bregmans mom tweeted this pic of him

i'll be happy if we don't have pinch hitting at bat for the next few months.

Feliz got lit up today for the Pirates. No idea why that guy has fallen off so hard the last 2 years. Not sad to see him gone and Cole here for sure.

It’s funny that the opening day matchup for that game could have been Verlander vs Cole.

Didn't take long to overload the new breakers. Anyway...back to dominating MLB.

Okay, let me tell you the difference between Surlyhorns and everyone else, we don't crash EVER! If those servers are down for even a day, our entire reputation is irreversibly destroyed!

I just assume it was a piece of stray lint in a circuit board, then. Anyway...no harm, no foul.
