Back when Cano got suspended and I assumed the Mariners would be sellers in July, I opined that we should try to trade for Haniger. Then they caught fire and...oh, well. He’d have looked good in our OF, but especially in our lineup.

Wut.

Look on the bright side. It’s a chance for Brad to throw about five, to tune up for those spot starts in place of LMJ.

OK, that’s a reach. But not much else to keep me interested at the moment.

I laughed. Happens to everyone no matter how great you are. He needed to miss a start anyway.

2nd time in a month giving up 6 runs.
10 HRs over his last 5 starts. That’s approaching Mike Fiers-level stuff.

Get it out of the system now.

On the bright side, I guess I’d rather have this (roughed up and exiting after only 52 pitches) than having him go 7 or 8 and losing another 2-1 game against a tough starter .

Bregman has not responded well thus far tonight. But we’re still in this. I think.

His average in the lead-off spot probably isn't good.

Not the best night for Bregman.

Really not the best month. He honestly looks hung over from his ASG honors. Hitting what, under .250 since? Forget the Colorado call and hit.
