I have not one bit of sympathy for those bike riders.

There are minimum speeds on freeways. They had no right (except to be crushed by an 18 wheeler doing the speed limit).

Skip ahead to 16:00 to see Pipeline when it's surfable, but the best part of the video starts at 21:30 when the swell hits and Pipe starts closing out. It's a 10-minute POV paddle just to stay afloat and alive. Gives a really good idea of what it's like to be out there when the ocean jumps up and reminds you who's boss.

Doesn’t he have be holding or wearing the camera for it to be POV?

The trees are probably rooted in a boggy wet high water content soil. The wind is actually lifting the trees up like a sail while the roots are keeping them down. The heavy moss layer is like the crust on top of an apple pie, keeping the dirt layers below from crumbling. It’s fascinating.

Wait. Those aren't for picking your teeth? And.... Why do I have this cough?

I see you're a proponent of the "Why not both?" theory.  We'll have our eye on you...

WTF is happening here?  Where is this, so I can never go?

Saturated ground after heavy rain loosening the root balls of the trees so that the wind can blow them down, balls and all.  Timber!

Ah yes, treat your cherished family pet to a meal that will remind them of when they once roamed the lonely garbage-strewn alleys, scouring the urine filled gutters for a diseased bird carcass.
