Fullback material.

also, they call the ground, "the floor"?

It's a British thing I first noticed a little while back in their films/shows. They don't call it "on the ground." I'm not sure what the rest of the Commonwealth says, but it's clearly not what we say in these United States of America.

It's kinda like the English quirk of saying "in hospital" without the definite article. No accounting for what gets lost over the Pond.

I actually witnessed a situation like this outside a bar in Idaho Falls some years ago.  Barrel chested under 6' 300plus pounder refused to be hand cuffed.

I worked at the inpatient psych hospital on Oahu for a while. One of the many lessons I learned was that a Samoan in the throws of a manic episode can absolutely rip locked and magnetized security doors off their hinges if they are so inclined.

not a cool story bro:

As a teen, a cop hit me across the back of the legs like that with a baton. I fell like I had been pole-axed. Fucking agony. My dad saw the huge bruises a few days later and asked about them. I said I got them in football practice when somebody stepped on the back of my legs in cleats.

Anybody who take blows like that and not even react is a beast.

Riding in a car with some friends in HS. Not sure why we got pulled over, but they made all four of us line up against the wall spread eagle while they tossed the car and ran our licenses. Found some beer and poured it out (standard practice in early 80s for MIP for beer only-maybe because the legal age was only 19 then). Told us to kneel, not sure why. I turned toward the cop and started to protest and he let me have it. "I said kneel!"

Instead I rolled on the ground in agony.

Eventually they let us all go.

No tickets, no arrests, no citations.

edit: not black or a dog, but a few of the other guys were hispanic.
