“When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re not sending you. They’re not sending you. They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.”

He unequivocally stated that the Mexicans entering the United States are rapists.  Now, he also acknowledged that some of them might be "good people", which is the double whammy of disgusting Trumpspeak, because in doing so he tacitly implied that a rapist can be a good person.

I’ll sum up the article for the tl;dr types. Republicans are bad for wanting to move ahead with the confirmation despite the accuser being a coward and not testifying when called. Confirmation should be delayed because of #me too so we Dems can retake control of Senate but but but this could be GOOD for Kavanaugh if his name continues to be smeared with no evidence or corroboration

Who's sock is this? 8badmofo?  September 3 account, a few really stupid football takes, and then a ton of QAnon reddit talking points.
Be better.

No shit. He is even parroting the ridiculous “FBI jurisdiction” bullshit. Idiot.

Yes, there would have been questions asked at his hearing.  She could have testified.  It would have been part of the process in place. Kavanah is the most scrutinized supreme court nominee in history.   Congress was given unprecedented access to his records.   The process is over.  So now the Democrats want a recess to delay til after the midterms.   Let's she if she tesrifies

Is the objective to give "justice" to Professor Ford or to the Supreme Court confirmation process?

If it's to give Professor Ford her "justice" there is no reason it needs to be tied to the confirmation process.  Or any reason why the Senate needs to be involved.  She she get her justice the same way any other citizen does.

If the objective here is to do the confirmation process correctly then the ship has sailed.  The opponents of Kavanaugh had their chance and they passed it up.

How has the “ship sailed”? Is that some legal argument that you are making? It’s confusing because the senate can conduct its confirmations any way that it wants to.

Some Mexicans entering the country are rapists.  There was even a serial killer.  The Railroad Killer.

Well, politifact rated it a false statement

“It was already a ‘no’ but now it’s a stronger ‘no,’” said Bonnie Mann, 29, when asked about whether her view of Kavanaugh’s nomination had changed since the allegation.

Christine Blasey Ford, a university professor in California whose sexual assault allegations have roiled a confirmation process that once seemed smooth for Kavanaugh, wants her claim to be investigated by the FBI before she appears at a Senate hearing, her lawyers said on Tuesday.

Trump has stepped up his defense of Kavanaugh and expressed sympathy toward his nominee, saying on Wednesday that it was hard for him “to imagine anything happened.”

The Reuters/Ipsos poll surveyed 2,196 adults online across the United States and has a credibility interval, a measure of precision, of 2 percentage points.

That letter's circulating, supposedly came from Facebook. Can't find any info on a Christina King. If it's legit, then he's done.

Did you not go to high school? DrFord could not have talked about it with anyone and there would surely be whispers, originating from others at part y or even Kavanaugh and Judge.

It's not a legal argument or even a Senate rules argument.  It's my fairness argument.

I think that in a political fight both sides need a fair bite at the apple.  Then it's time to move on.  I think, assuming she declines to come Monday, the opponents had their chance. I think this argument will carry the day.  We'll see.

No, the statement from Kaine that Trump stated "all Mexicans entering the US are rapists" is false

2.  Wanting the FBI to investigate-they can't..its local jurisdiction, not a federal crime.  It's also way past the statute of limitations.  They have also said they wont investigate

Can you point to a statement from the FBI where they've said they won't investigate this?    And Trump making that statement doesn't count.

No, that's not what they rated "false".  They rated his extrapolation to ALL Mexicans, when in fact Trump was only referring to the ones entering the US.

Yes, it's true that Trump did not say "all Mexicans are racists".  He absolutely said that all Mexicans entering (or "being sent to") the US are rapists.  I posted the quote.

Of course support is slipping, people are sheep.  If everyone with a microphone tells you someone is a rapist over and over, they will eventually believe it.

Yeah I 'm thinking they were only going to bring it up if other delaying tricks didn't work.  The woman has stated (allegedly) she didn't want publicity, so there's that.

Feinstein may very well have been saving this as a last ditch effort to derail, with the added benefit it would still give her cover for not coming forward immediately based on Dr. Fords wishes.  It was a win win for her (Feinstein that is).

She paid for a private polygraph to be done in order to give her more credibility when she came out publicly.

Grassley said that the hearing Monday will not be rescheduled.  The FBI said they won't investigate without direction from the White House.  Trump said ... well, you know that part.

A Trump supporter calling people sheep just made my day. In less than three years the majority of the GOP has done a complete 180 on almost all basic principles it once stood for because a con man told them to.

If Kavanaugh really is innocent he should be asking for an FBI investigation.  Assume there isn't any more investigations or hearings, and he's placed on the SCOTUS; he will be forever tainted as a possible rapist, or possible attempted rapist for those that want to split hairs.    I wouldn't want that label on me.    Obviously some people would never be convinced of his innocence but that would only be a vocal minority.   He should be calling for his name to be cleared by the FBI.    Clear his name to his wife, family and friends.

Obviously attempted rape or sexual assault is normally a local jurisdiction investigation but the local police have zero reason to investigate unless there is another, more recent allegation.

Therefore the only group that can investigate it is the FBI.  And since the FBI started and wrapped up the Clarence Thomas investigation in 3 days, I'm confused as to why they do the same today?   Sounds like there are 3 people to interview and 1 definitely has said he won't.

Remarkable statement considering the special interest groups have spent millions of dollars pumping out pro-kavanaugh advertisements for the last two months.

It’s odd those ads have no effect on the sheep.

Do liberal activist bullies usually put their devious plans in motion by telling therapists about traumatic childhood events six years before the accused is nominated for a prominent political appointment?

Is that a component of convicting someone of rape?  excuse me, attempted rape.  His buddy stopped him from being successful.
