*video emerges of Kavanaugh raping a child while saying, "I am Brett Kavanaugh and I am raping a child"*

Chrispystasis: "Don't you idiots know how good video editing software is these days?"

And the dems probably recorded it and did it previously themselves anyway so why is it an issue now.

"LOL, this child can't remember what exactly happened even though there is clearly enough evidence to come forward. LOL!"

Seriously republicans — you’ve barely got a majority and you have a shitbag nominee. Go get a middle of the road nominee that a handful of Dems can’t object to who has decent moral character and own the court for 20 years. Why THIS guy, after all of this?

According to the New Yorker article, the incident was apparently a well-known event:

Quote

A classmate of Ramirez’s, who declined to be identified because of the partisan battle over Kavanaugh’s nomination, said that another student told him about the incident either on the night of the party or in the next day or two. The classmate said that he is “one-hundred-per-cent sure” that he was told at the time that Kavanaugh was the student who exposed himself to Ramirez. He independently recalled many of the same details offered by Ramirez, including that a male student had encouraged Kavanaugh as he exposed himself. The classmate, like Ramirez, recalled that the party took place in a common room on the first floor in Entryway B of Lawrance Hall, during their freshman year. “I’ve known this all along,” he said. “It’s been on my mind all these years when his name came up. It was a big deal.” The story stayed with him, he said, because it was disturbing and seemed outside the bounds of typically acceptable behavior, even during heavy drinking at parties on campus. The classmate said that he had been shocked, but not necessarily surprised, because the social group to which Kavanaugh belonged often drank to excess. He recalled Kavanaugh as “relatively shy” until he drank, at which point he said that Kavanaugh could become “aggressive and even belligerent.”

Another classmate, Richard Oh, an emergency-room doctor in California, recalled overhearing, soon after the party, a female student tearfully recounting to another student an incident at a party involving a gag with a fake penis, followed by a male student exposing himself. Oh is not certain of the identity of the female student. Ramirez told her mother and sister about an upsetting incident at the time, but did not describe the details to either due to her embarrassment.

Mark Krasberg, an assistant professor of neurosurgery at the University of New Mexico who was also a member of Kavanaugh and Ramirez’s class at Yale, said Kavanaugh’s college behavior had become a topic of discussion among former Yale students soon after Kavanaugh’s nomination. In one e-mail that Krasberg received in September, the classmate who recalled hearing about the incident with Ramirez alluded to it and wrote that it “would qualify as a sexual assault,” he speculated, “if it’s true.”

What's ridiculous is not per se another allegation or another with Avenatti.  It's that Republican leaders have known about this New Yorker story for at least a week now and are still trying to jam Kavanaugh through.

They’re drunk on power.  They’re doing this because they can and no one can stop them.

The biggest loser in all this is a legitimate conservative movement because this is the type of shit that will turn people off to the Republican Party for the rest of their lives.

They are pushing independents to become democrats permanently.

Since lying to the FBI is a crime, having the FBI actually simply ask the question is relevant and important to any complainant, potential witness or defendant in and of itself. Do you not understand or comprehend this simple fact?

Uh, I've been posting that the FBI should investigate the allegation brain genius.

Where can I get a list of all the Republicans on this committee who already knew about this latest allegation?

Have you seen this prick?

Do not attempt to apprehend this prick as it may be dangerous.

It isn't as funny as it was then.

That scene is, this one not so much.

Nah, as awful as all this shit is, we gotta keep a little sense of humor.  It’s the only way to keep some sanity with this administration

Shit, now we're holding people accountable for what they did in college too?

GOP has gone full retard since Obama (or longer), but this is going to be a new low if they continue to defend him.

We'd do it for a drug charge, why not this?

Look, if this guy is blocked from a lifetime appointment to the nation's highest court because of some allegations from the period of his life when he was a big piece of shit, soon nobody who spent long stretches of their lives being big pieces of shit will be able to be appointed for life to interpret the highest law of the land.  Where does it fucking stop.

Some people never stopped being huge pieces of shit and they got themselves elected president.

Problem for the rest of them is that they don't have the personality that Trump has.

Here's the list of members I was asking for? Y'all probably already knew this but I hadn't been following this story too closely until the past couple of days.

https://www.judiciary.senate.gov/about/members

So both Cruz and Cornyn are on it. Maybe this will give Beto a little more ammo for the next debate.

You notice how Harris is laying low while Feinstein is taking the lead on the Ford allegation.

Both of Dr. Ford’s Senators are women on the judiciary committee and one of them is a criminal prosecutor.

If I was her, I would have sent the letter to both Harris and Feinstein.

Perhaps she did.

Oh there is a reason for it no doubt. We the peons, however, do not know what it may be is.

The next nominee would also be the object of unverifiable smears.  It wouldn't be any better.  It would actually be worse because the Dems would smell the chance of getting control of the Senate and blocking any nominee for two years.  They'd pull all kinds of dirty tricks.

I keep forgetting that Trump is probably pushed for Kavanaugh because of his comments on sitting Presidents legally can't be indicted.

And if you can seat an individual over whom you have blackmail material (financial/sexual), then you can get away with murder, or treason.

When you consider how much legal jeopardy Trump and the GOP appear to be in, it’s totally consistent that BK is ideal for the very reason they possess evidence over which he could lose his career.  I.e., they “know” the shit on BK, it’s that it loses its valence for control if everyone finds out about it, and moreover kills his viability.

Right now Trump/GOP desperately need a corrupt tool, not a stalwart conservative judge.

Yes running a sex trafficking operation out of prep school definitely would not have shown up in prior checks.

At least with this next generation of politicians we will have social media to check on their formative years and extracurricular activities.
