Lol.  Reading Texags.  The loss was due to bad calls and the north wind.  Apparently, the wind blew from the south when NMSU was at bat.

Oh yeah that’s the good stuff

The temperature may have been a factor as well.

this is a good comparison

the Gators went 13-17 in league play last year...lost 8 non-conference games...regional 3-seed

that's about how the Ags profile at this point in the season

We aren't going to get the grace they were given with a 13-17 record even if we have similar big wins in that 13.

13-17 gets a lot of SEC teams in, Florida also had a lot of bad losses in the non conference last year like we do now, if we go 13-17 I think we'll sneak in. 12-18 though and we're left out.

Even Mother Nature hates aggy.

How in the hell is ATM still ranked? I get the “loaded with talent” narrative, I guess, but they’re not exactly losing to other really talented teams. They’re 9-6 with numerous bad losses.

It’s like Texas football during the dark periods. Start out highly ranked due to “talent” and then fall apart due to coaching and a soft culture. Maybe they show up and run rule Bama all 3 games this weekend or something and then everything turns a corner. Hard to buy right now though.

Well they had a gauntlet of a schedule up until now.  It gets way easier going forward starting this weekend.

Long way to fall when you are placed at 1 to start.  They’ll get there if they keep at it.

I’ve been watching these scores posted.  Some/most of these are ridiculous numbers.  Is it just the competition or is this going to continue into conference play?

Many of these schools have smaller parks (385 or 390 to center) compared to the Disch. Many have not played very good competition and most of the games have been at home. However, the teams have talent too. That all being said, there are often high scores in conference play. This is the norm in the SEC.

11 of the 16 SEC teams have SOS rankings outside of the top 100. LSU is outside the top 250.

I think these coaches know they have to schedule stat padding weekends because 10 straight weekends of hell are starting up in mid-March.

9 weeks of hell and 1 week of Missouri.

Heh, watch us suck against Missouri after me talking all this shit.

Kendall is showing his aggy roots. Having them at #19 is a joke.

Just another reason not to have pre-season rankings. Rankers take weeks to admit their obvious mistakes.

Ranking any team with a first-time head coach as #1 before they even played a game was fucking amateur hour. Just a staggeringly stupid position to take. But aggy gonna aggy and always believe the bullshit they tell themselves. Even the seemingly normal aggy like Kendall. He's shown himself to have subconscious biases which affect his analysis.

I just want to point out all I did was say it feels good to see us kicking ass so soon after Schloss was hired. I didn't call for a run rule or talk any shit about Washington. In fact I said nice things about UW before the game. So maybe I just need to talk shit and not praise our team.

But what if that head coach is also the preseason conference coach of the year, huh?

they basically all bet that he couldn’t fuck it up, voted accordingly, and are waiting as long as possible before eating the whole crow.

They definitely underrated the value of a great coach and overrated the ability of high end talent to win on its own.

This. Which is hilarious given how much a combination of fundamentals and mentally-sound hitting and pitching strategy is required to consistently win in any given season.
