Billy or not. Fng aggy, the mockery of college baseball two months ago, has been on a roll winning 9/10 against good opponents.

Next up is the weekend vs US in Austin, so we’ll find out about both clubs soon.

Plz explain how 5 of those wins against South Carolina, Tarleton, and Sam Houston are "good opponents".

I'll hangup and listen.

COLUMBIA, Mo. — No. 18 Oklahoma completed the three-game sweep at Missouri with a doubleheader sweep Friday in Columbia. The Sooners run-ruled the Tigers in both games Friday (17-7 [8], 12-1 [7]) and all three games of the series.

Well Missouri is one of the worst teams in college baseball and may not win a single conference game in the SEC this season.

They may well just have given up now, standing at a perfect 0-18 SEC record.

Missouri is the free space on everybody's SEC bingo card.

2/3 in Fayetteville is pretty good. Plus aggy is taking Arky to the wood shed in game three. Just embarrassing to the point the stadium has pretty much emptied.

Hook’em!!!

Aggy has figured something out no doubt.

But the giant hole they put themselves in requires Winning every series here on out.

Texas has an opportunity to kill this resurgent bit of hope and rip their hearts out once and for all.

That's impossible.  The roller coaster always comes back around for another lap.

I'm still calling for Missouri to get their SEC win against Aggy. It's hard to go winless..

Find out about Texas?  They could get swept and might still lead the SEC.  We know about Texas.

Aggie has come around. They’ll be tough.

Exactly.

We do have one thing they don't - an advantage. Schloss knows all of  their strengths and weaknesses.

Even if he didn't, this team will absolutely roll aggie and take them to the woodshed.

UTenn was the #1 national seed last year with a 22-8 conference record.

If we go 6-6 from here on out we will match that record.  I'm not particularly concerned.  A&M and Florida at home, Arky and OU on the road.  If we can't split those 12 games then so be it.

I love college baseball. I love MLB also, but to me it's a different game. College baseball seems like the highest level of the game we all grow up playing whether it's select, rec ball, whatever

Minor league ball is something else, man. You have the 18 year old bonus babies all the way through the crash Davis lifers, plus some mlbers on rehab here and there, along those making their way up or down the ladder.  Position changes, pitchers working on new pitches. Winning is secondary to development.

anyway, support your local milb team.

Kentucky wins 4-1.

Texas will have a 3 game lead on the rest of the SEC heading into next week

I can't overstate how thrilled I am at how this season has gone so far. And I'm starting to get really excited about the possibilities here.

The losses are piling up for the other contenders.

Bama takes down LSU 7-4 and the Tigers are 12-6 in the SEC.

The nearest competitors for Texas in Tennessee and Pig both have 5 losses, with Tennessee a game still to play against Kentucky tomorrow.

Remember Georgia, they were swept by Vandy and are 10-8 and Vandy passed them at 11-7.

College Baseball has been my most important sport for essentially my entire life but hell yes about minors. Especially the A and AA level.
I got to watch Jac Cags twice this week for like $5.

Arkie plays us, at LSU and Tennessee. Say they sweep Florida and then 6-3 against Texas, LSU, and Tennessee. That puts them at 22-8.

Say we go 1-2 against both aggy and arkie, We go 2-1 against both Florida and OU. That puts us at 22-8. I think that is the worst we can do while above is best Arkie can do. They really don't have great pitching.

Yeah the sweeps of war eagle, bulldogs, mizzou, and state instead of a simple series wins (along with no series losses) have really stacked up. An epic meltdown is always possible but this conf lead is stabilizing nicely. OU, aggy and Arky remain, so you never know.

Again with vigor:  22-8 in the SEC landed UTenn the #1 national seed last year.  Our path to that record isn't particularly daunting.  I'll go so far as to say that a 2-1 or better against A&M will make our case for a national seed hard to screw up.

I would rather be Texas than any other team at this point.

Despite the injuries Texas just added to their SEC lead and moved to the top in the national rankings and the RPI.

Belyeu is probably going to be back by the OU series. Rodriguez can be the DH again now while Borba plays third.

The biggest development is that Jonah Williams may be up to speed to play left field. He was really set back by the collarbone injury and missed a lot of practice time. Schloss has said he would be a starter in the outfield for years to come when he became comfortable with college baseball. He looks confident at the plate now and seems to have a pretty good idea of the strike zone. The only thing we haven't seen is can he be a consistent left fielder. He certainly has the tools for that also. Williams in left for now and Farmer in right till Belyeu gets healthy is certainly better that the lineup that Texas was putting on the field.

Then there is the matter of him being a talented left-handed pitcher with a 90's fastball and a good curve ball. We may see that maybe in a game like against Prairie View A&M.

I fully agree with your first sentence.

Somehow, however, Texas is still #2 in RPI:

With Georgia being swept by Vanderbilt there is no way they stay #1 in the RPI rankings.

This shows what kind of a warped indicator that the RPI is.

Georgia is now tied for sixth place in the SEC, yet #1 in the RPI.

Remember when Xavier was super high and they were like 12-13? RPI tends to do a good job overall, but it also tends to have some obvious WTF rankings.

Texas swept UGA. Texas should be number one, easily. But it won’t matter. The selection committee doesn’t only go off RPI

Stumbled upon these guys talking SEC baseball.

They start discussing Texas at 13:15 in, and then smatterings after that. They channel looch on aggy, but that'll change in a week. Lulz.

Learn me on SEC Network. Do they have a flex option? Why is dogshit Florida playing at a little less shitty MS State in primetime on the SECN while Texas beats yet another top 10 team on ESPN+-/= at noon.

I’ll repeat the question for softball. While Texas was administering a smooth ass kicking on Georgia earlier this season, SECN showed softball all day Saturday. That was a 2 vs 3 match up.
