The competition at the Greg during practice this week must not have been strong giving them an inflated sense of self going into this one.

I cannot even imagine what this team would look like if Tre didn’t pick us.

I cannot imagine how much money it took to get Tre to pick this dumpster fire.

I look at a loss like this and am not really too concerned about what it means for our tournament chances. I'm mostly just embarrassed that Texas has such a mess of a team representing the university and fans. There's simply no excuse for it continuing beyond the next few weeks.

I mean if you can fire David Pierce last year, you have to fire Terry this year.

Didn't see any of this game, but the stats are weirdly almost even in every category except one. 45 free throws???

Texas played awful and only the ineptitude of South Carolina kept the game even remotely close.

She's a mute, Jim.  No vocal cords.  No vesicular cords.
Without speech or a three pointer, how's she supposed to understand us?
Fuck it, Jim... let's GETF out of here before we turn into a 14 seed.

There's been a string of these guys who chose Austin. Who the hell is funding this shit?

I would have used the adverb (awfully), but other than that, you’re correct.

Texas is not a good basketball team.

Even Tre Johnson was 11 of 26 from the field including 1-8 from behind the arc last game, and he’s been praised for that shitty shooting because the rest of the team is even worse.

I am looking forward to getting a new coach for next year.

The idea of this team making the tournament this year just makes me not want to watch the tournament.

Rodney Terry was a popular and appreciated coach in El Paso, where I'm from. We were initially gobsmacked at the talent he identified and brought to UTEP. Players would even improve during the year, but the team would not and it just didn't look like he knew how to coach basketball and nothing has changed and I've had to watch this twice now.

I don't see how Texas can be accused of DEI when the the team was DOA in Columbia against a terrible South Carolina team.

Meh. Dude got his chance and didn't get it done.

this.  there will be some "didn't get 3 years"! yelling at clouds from the media because it will drive clicks, but the dei deal won't be a thing, IMO.

This was Smart's ACU, Strong's Kansas, this was the death blow for Terry. I dont see how he keeps his job unless we make the Sweet 16 or win the SEC tourney.

we aren't winning the SECT.  He could go 8-10 and make it in still.  7-11 and a first or 2nd round bounce in the SEC and we are out, IMO.

At least we have Vic.

get to that last home game next Sunday.

the women’s matchup against South Carolina a couple of weeks ago was the best I’ve seen Moody this season and possibly the best the last two years.

I can't imagine what it would look like with a coach and an offense.

I bet you half of them are kicking themselves in the ass, too, especially the seniors and grads. I’m sure some would have flourished in a different offense like they have prior.

Texas is such an afterthought in the college basketball landscape right now that there is not a single person with an ounce of credibility who will defend him when he is let go. Half of them will be caught up investigating if Randi Trew is house shopping in Bloomington.
