Can someone explain to me why Riojas got scored the win for that game?

That's Riojas with the win if you're scoring at home.  And if you're not, try flowers.

No. Just take my word for it, she is 6.

When you have boys, you only need to worry about one dick on the block.  When you have girls, you have to worry about every dick on the block. Anyhoo Feliz Cumpleanos!

I am 47. How dare you?

I honestly thought you were older given your knowledge of Texas baseball. No offense meant, and I’ve never seen you so it’s not like I thought you looked like you were 65.

Kudos to Alec. He found a young, hot wife who apparently loves to fuck.

How has that woman given birth to 7 kids?  I mean, she's in the yoga business and whatnot, but that's pretty amazing.

It's the Spanish genes.

Wonder if we see Chamberlain or Service behind the plate today. Galvan will be catching every game starting in about 3 weeks, so the time is now to get him off his feet and see what the young pups can do.

I’m somewhat surprised/disappointed that Jacquae Stewart hasn’t had an AB. I want to see him swing it.

I heard he has a good bat but is still adjusting to this level of pitching.

Schloss has said a few times that the front-line guys are going to be playing basically every day outside of maybe catcher. You screw around against Dartmouth or A&M Corpus, and it could be the difference between you hosting or not hosting RPI-wise. Pierce never seemed to have that urgency as he toyed with lineups and rotations early in the season and it cost us in a few seasons.

Schloss is a great coach, our team is gonna be a lot better at the end of this year than it is at the beginning. However, a little disappointing not to see a much better performance behind the plate and on the mound. Even if we had one or the other last night it would've been encouraging. Can't have Kimble get 50% of hits, need pitchers to navigate trouble better against the likes of Dartmouth etc.

I think whether or not we dominate when you look at the big picture of the course of the whole weekend and whether or not their Sat/Sun starters can hang with ours in a three game series will tell a lot.

Today is a new day. LFG 🤘

I think winning games is encouraging. Those were the types of games we were losing the past two seasons.

My grandfather took me to UT games in 1982 when I was five. He played for NC State in the 1930s. I still remember where we were sitting on the third baseline and how weird the game seemed to me.

So I have seen a lot of UT Baseball but I was started on it very young.

I have less of the memory you have for Texas baseball.  I’m two years older I probably started as far as I can remember around 6-7 so about the same time as you, but my father wasn’t a ball player so it probably was less intense. My love for Texas baseball was passed down to an extent but mostly it was grown in my mind’s imagination, and if anything caught my imagination it would just take off, still does actually.

Finally got espn+/sec+ setup. I hate this garbage app and miss LHN already.

Did just watch aggy make an error and fall behind 1-0 to Cal Poly in the 3rd inning

Casey Borba first career start at second base (!) today.

Mendoza isn't hitting, Winfield was benched for it for a while for the same thing.

Going to see what Borba can do with the bat and if he isn't a liability at second base.

2nd base has really become the least important defensive position on the field so a bat is def more important there than a glove. Especially with the modern shifts.

May not be hitting for average but Mendoza has the second highest OBP on the team right now and has been handling the bat well.

I guess they want to continue to try to Winfield going.

Hello fellow Disney/hulu/espn+ person. I think I’m up to premium now to avoid commercials on Disney… remember when cord cutting was about saving money?

I’ve seen the nuances for getting SECN+ discussed here … and mine is probably just as convoluted.  But, I get SECN+ as part of an ESPN+ group grope subscription via Cox. 🤓

I’d like to see Winfield get going. Way too talented to just sit. I also like anything that gets Borba more ABs. He showed some good things at the plate last year and imo if Schuessler wasn’t an absolute liability behind the plate, Borba would be our everyday 1st.

Btw, why didn’t espn just retain Zeke and Zonk for our non con games on SEC+? It really makes no sense

Mendoza leads the team in walks.

If Borba doesn't hit and k's multiple times on pitches out of the zone, Mendoza will return.

I want to see how Borba does around the bag turning double plays, he certainly has the arm.

Pay I’m pretty sure was a big part of it. Those ESPN+ announcers are making pennies compared to the main network announcers.

Well that sucks. I thought maybe someone to do with affiliation but then we get Ty on the broadcasts. He’s not stupid but he is annoying
