Severed Hand Dropped by Bird at School

February 24, 2025 by David Jones

A shocking incident occurred last week at an elementary school in north Dublin, Ireland, when a bird dropped a severed hand from its beak onto the school grounds. The Irish police, known as the Gardaí, were alerted to the discovery of what was described as “partial human remains” at the Our Lady Immaculate School in the Darndale neighborhood.

The school, located in Darndale, was already under investigation by the police due to a gas-canister explosion that occurred the previous day. The explosion resulted in a 12-year-old boy losing his hand, according to reports from the Irish Mirror. The incident was captured on CCTV security cameras, which showed a bird dropping the hand onto the school grounds.

The hand was discovered around midday on Friday, during the school’s mid-term break. The area was promptly cordoned off as police initiated an investigation. The identity of the hand’s owner has not yet been confirmed by Irish authorities, but they are investigating the possibility that it may belong to the boy injured in the explosion.

The incident occurred on Thursday when several children were reportedly playing with a gas canister in Darndale. The canister exploded, resulting in the 12-year-old boy losing one of his hands. The Gardaí have since held the scene and notified the State Pathologist, as per standard procedure.

The Gardaí stated, “The remains will be removed for examination and DNA analysis, which will assist Gardaí in confirming the identity and determine the course of the investigation. Enquiries are ongoing.” The investigation is ongoing, and further updates are expected as the situation develops.

In unrelated incidents earlier this year, a security guard in Colorado was found with a severed human hand in his pocket, and two hands were discovered in a bleach-filled crockpot in the Bronx. These hands were suspected to belong to a burned body found at a separate crime scene in Yonkers.

Police Service of Northern Ireland have announced the discovery of an arms cache in a Belfast suburb which consists of 200 semi-automatic rifles with 25 thousand rounds of ammunition. They also found 200 pounds of heroin, 5 million in forged bank notes, and 25 trafficked prostitutes. This was all found in a semi-detached house behind the Public Library. Local residents were stunned by the news. Community spokesman Donal O'Flaherty said, “We are all shocked; we never knew we had a library.”

I wanna party with that guy.

Man, it's a real mystery if the severed hand may have come from the kid missing a hand.

A bird in the hand is better than a hand in the beak. Unless the bird poops in your hand and the hand in the beak is someone else’s.

Sounds like the perfect opening scene for your typical BBC detective show.

My mom binge watches all of those. Some of them are good. A lot of them are fucking awful TV.

Midsomer Murders are quite well done…..and occasionally body parts - like a bare tittie or two - do show up in some episodes.
