FEMA does not do shit to halt fires. Problem is we laid off Smokey the Bear.

oh there's no halting the fires, really. it's about helping those affected

The glass windows of my downtown office have been creaking the past few hours because of the wind.  And looking from a conference room across Town Lake and to the southwest horizon, it's hazy as shit.  Is that the wind blowing cedar and other pollen?

The sun is like partially blocked out where I am. It's like half of a dust storm out here.

Fucking crazy. Not sure I've seen this before.

Certainly should be.

Floods, Hurricanes, Tornadoes, Snow/Ice, Fires.

We get it all.

Always wondered what it would be like living in Lubbock. (From my office looking across Town Lake to the southwest.)

Earlier today, there was a brownout that caused a multi-vehicle accident north of Pecos, and they had to shut down the highway from there to Carlsbad for a while.

That looks like the Watch Duty app?

As a Colorado resident, that is one of the best apps I have on my phone.

I'm sure we have a lot of newly minted wildfire experts on here from back in January.  Have they weighed yet to blame it on Abbott?

Yes or no, did Abbott rake the forests?
