Sleep apnea and CPAP have been addressed several times in this thread. Teach yourself

I just realized your post meant that it took your parents to point out something that nobody else could.

Because you have never slept with another person in your entire adult life.

That's pathetic.

It is a thread about married people sleeping in separate rooms. Someone said it’s a sign of impending divorce. I told my parents story. Have you seen posters tell relevant stories before? You lost the exchange and had it reminded to everyone o  this board you are a child/young adult predator. Do you want me to tell stories about randos or my baby mama have said?

Your only sleep companion is your mother and that is okay, I guess.

Please share your mom's thoughts on your snoring.

Apologies to OP for thread derail from the drunk divorced guy making assumptions above.

Bro, my original post to you was one of sympathy. I thought it was unfair that your parents judge you for something they also suffer from.

I didn't expect you to take that as an offense because as it turns out you are an adult male and only your mom knows how you sleep.

Get a cat or something, I guess.

So you guys bang then say goodnight and go to separate rooms?

@South Austin

I was thinking about this setup. Do you get to bang and then afterwards hang out solo in a room drinking beer and jumping on the Playstation for some EA Sports College Football?

Just curious if there are expectations that you must go to bed afterwards or if you get to do what you want in the separate bedroom.

My wife’s friend has let her 8 year old sleep in her bed 99.9% of his life, and it has caused major problems if she ever has to travel for work or with her friends (can’t be gone more than one night and it’s a major ordeal). Be warned, all ye with adorable toddlers.

We have some other friends who allowed a habit to form when their toddler aged kids started sleeping in a real bed, “if they woke up and were scared,” the kids were allowed to come crawl into their bed. Still happens to them 5 or 6 nights a week, any time between 2 and 6am, and the kids are now 7 and 5. They have to bang before midnight like their kids are mogwai.

I usually just go to bed. Those two minutes can really wear me out.

Yes.  Big time.  I have been snoring for a long time as well.  I would fall asleep after work just sitting in my recliner.  I also noticed I would get tired driving.  Now I don't feel the need to nap at all.  I was also having acid reflux issues at night.  That has also gone away.
Yep. I've had a cpap for almost 10 years. Complete game changer. I can't sleep without it.

An 8 year old should be able to handle being left with others for a few nights. Not to mention that it's healthy to create boundaries. Like I wrote earlier I know of one situation of high school kids still sleeping in bed with mom. It's no surprise that Dad finally says enough.

Wil be 35 years this July. We've always slept in the same bed with a few exceptions for things such as sicknesses or the couple of times she put me in the guest room after a hard night of partying. But those partying nights are long gone and the last time sickness affected it was covid in 2022.
