That ball started to the left of the Longhorn in CF lol

That center fielder has no idea.

You know that the wind is going to blow the ball to his left and he turned the other way first.

I do not miss having to play terrible players in the field.

But why put him in CF?

I asked the same question last night, during all his follies.

This game wasn’t exactly flying by thru 3, and this last pitcher sure hasn’t helped.

He strutted around like a banty rooster.

Ruger has too good of a fastball to be pitching like this. Some of it is on him and some of it is on Max.

It's all about getting the slider over the plate for him.  He's very hittable when he doesn't

If Ruger can command the inner 1/3 of the plate with his fastball he will be tough to hit, if not then he will continue to struggle putting guys away

That's got to be it for Riojas.

Think Dre takes over.

Riojas can't leave the breaking pitches up.

Maybe Weiner had him working on it, thus the lack of fast balls.

These stupid outs on the bases have to stop

Blood veins bulged in my forehead when that happened far too frequently during Pierce’s tenure and I was happy to blame coaching.  It now appears to me that the problem is more attributable to knucklehead players than knucklehead coaches … 🤬

It’s college baseball so I expect some stupidity but sometimes the red light needs to be put on to prevent players from doing dumb stuff.

Them continually trying to extend Ruger may mean they aren’t sold on Luke as a starter, that and Mercer injury

I actually like that they pushed him today probably out of his comfort zone.

You have to ride your horses in conference play and we are going to need him to save our ass a time or two if we want to accomplish our goals.

Yep.

Next 2 games we will probably see some interesting lineups and pitching rotations. I would like to see them try and stretch Navarre to 2 or 3 innings in the next 2 games. Mercer going down and Volantis moving to Sunday leaves a hole in the pen that we don’t currently have a replacement for.
