My favorite scene is when Ilsa starts moaning loudly in the middle of Rick's and Captain Renault says, "I'll have what she's having." Absolutely hilarious.

Little known trivia: Captain Renault was Billy Crystal's mom.

I rewatch this about once a year. One of my all-time favorites.

I've seen it 3 times already this year between TCM's 31 Days of Oscars and it being on a steady rotation on HBO. It's absolutely timeless.

"What is your nationality?"

"I'm a drunkard."

"That makes Rick a citizen of the world!"

Sam, would you play our song, just one more time?

Of course... DING DONG! The witch is dead! Which old witch? The wicked witch!

How’d you get in here?  You’re under age.

I came with Captain Renault.

I should have known.

My husband is with me too.

He is?  Well, Captain Renault is getting broad minded.  Sit down, would you like a drink?  Of course not.  Do you mind if I do?

I decided to watch it again now. Couldn't convince my kids to sit and watch it with me.

How old are your kids? I teach high school and every year I show it to my classes after the AP test. They always moan and groan when it starts, but I tell them to just give it a chance. After it's over, I always get "You were right. That was pretty good."

"I remember every detail. The Germans wore gray, you wore blue."

Just finished it. I always forget how good Claude Rains is.  He steals every scene.

I'm shocked!

This was the high point of 20th century cinema.  Laszlo, having had enough of Nazi officers singing, tells the band leader, “Pleh eet.  Play La Marseillaise!” Then, when Rick almost imperceptibly gives the nod to the band leader and the house band launches into La Marseillaise, I always lose it. I mean I literally weep uncontrollably.  At “Aux armes, Citoyens!” I’m a basket case. Feels like we are approaching one of those moments today in Les Etats-Unis. Who’s gonna give the nod now? I’ll play the snare.

Without a doubt, the greatest scene in movie history

I've often speculated why you don't return to America. Did you abscond with the church funds? Run off with a senator's wife? I like to think you killed a man. It's the Romantic in me.

I'm making out the report now. We haven't quite decided whether he committed suicide or died trying to escape.

You despise me don’t you?

If I gave you any thought, I probably would.

For a decade now, since I've watched the show about 3 times through and seen Casablanca about 50 times, I smile ever so slightly realizing the gruff one liners and internal strife of Don Draper are basically the reincarnation of Rick Blaine.

Watched it again last night with my wife. First time she has watched it in about 15 years.  She loved it.  Kept talking about it all day. I told her it gets better every time you watch it.
