Judging by the races of the apparent victim (Indian) and suspect (dollar tree Brock Lesnar) and the tone of the comment sections I've seen online, I won't be surprised if this dude gets away with it and finds a comfortable home on the racist grift circuit.

There's video of victim and suspect entering the hotel with 2 other friends, then victim and suspect both leave again a short while later. Victim never returns, suspect walks back into the hotel at 9am without his shirt or shoes

Let he who hasn't gone for a late night swim in the ocean with a girl you just met, then came back to shore without her before taking a nap on the beach for a few hours then heading back to the hotel alone without notifying anyone that said girl is missing cast the first stone.

the dude said a wave hit them on the beach... so his story is basically that they were together alone until her disappearance.  hope this isn't gonna be some joran van der sloot shit.

Punta Cana is sketchy, even at the "high end" resorts.  We watched a couple getting pulled behind a boat on one of those parachutes. Wind blew towards the shore, or the boat slowed down, and they dipped down towards the beach, bounced a couple of times off the sand, and got hung up in volleyball net.

None of the resort employees responded, no medical team.  Left it up to the patrons to help them.  They eventually got them loaded them into an unmarked white van and whisked them away.

It's not so much race. We're just more interested in what happens to hot blondes. If she was a white brunette, it would get less interest as well.

I remember back in the day before the winches on the backs of the boats, people taking off from the beach.  Saw this one blob of goo try to run, fall, and get drug across the sand and into the surf as the boat accelerated.  It as a hot mess.  Just enjoy the weather, have a drink, hit the buffet, and avoid anything physical your McDonalds eating, fat ass can't do.  Let's start with stairs....try those first.

I also love the heat down there.  Texans can take the jungle heat/humidity, especially on excursions to the ruins, etc.  I remember we were at Chichén Itzá and this obviously European couple was walking in front of us.  Thankfully it was the grassy expanse from where the bathrooms were to the pyramids.  Dude just drops.  Faceplants into the grass.  Wife starts screaming, people scatter.  They have to carry him back into the AC where the bathrooms are.  He just fainted from the heat.

Similar story in Vietnam.  Touring the Cu Chi tunnels.  Indian woman from London was with us.  It's dense, triple-canopy jungle.  I was next to her, her eyes roll back in her head, she luckily grabbed a pole and slid straight to the ground.  She came to, they got her out of there, but man.  Stay hydrated.  Acclimate a little first before heading out people.

I've also found that my heat tolerance has declined as I've gotten older.  Last summer, we attended an outdoor wedding in Oklahoma.  It was f'n hot, and I was in a suit, because I'm a man.  I hydrated before -- nothing major, but also probably not enough, based on how I reacted.  After the wedding, we went inside to the reception....and I promptly sat down and drank a lot of ice water because I was looking pale and felt clammy.  Took me a good 20 minutes of cooling off inside and drinking lots of cold water before I felt back to normal.

I can work outside in the heat if I plan for it, hydrate well, and take actual breaks.  But I'm not as resilient as I was 30 years ago, when I could fix fence, feeders, and blinds all day in July.

Oh....and the euros DO NOT FUCKING HYDRATE.  It's something we comment on every time we visit.  FFS, would you people drink some water?  Water is not around or available like it is here, they don't drink it like they do here....and I get it, 7 months of the year are chilly and damp in Germany.  But the other 5 months....are not.  And even during those chilly months, you're often inside in artificially heated air that dries you out.  DRINK SOME WATER.

I remember back in 2001 pops got a wild hair up his ass to build this massive smoker at the cabin at the ranch.  55 80lb sacks of concrete.  Hey boy, I need those moved.  The vehicle?  An all metal wheelbarrow.  When I say all metal, I mean all metal.  Including the fucking wheel.  That as the summer when it was triple digits for a few months.  No worries.

Now, I'd just die.  No pretense.  Just death.  And I would welcome it....

As for the Europeans, yeah they are clueless.  And it's not just water, when it's that hot too much water and you'll founder.  You need electrolytes or your body won't be able to absorb it.

The water there is really treacherous. Fuck up and you are heading towards Puerto Rico real quick.

Same with Cabo.  Every trip their are some drunk assholes trying to play in the water to the point that the resorts have to have guys walking the beach yelling at these idiots to stay behind the ropes

Yep. Where Punta Cana is located you have two massive bodies or water fighting for control. Every year boats trying to get to Puerto Rico are lost there.

The thing about Punta Cana is when the development companies went in they were supposed to build up infrastructure. Hospital, etc. They never did it. It is a shit place that should never have happened. The DR used to grow a lot of food there.

It is a great example of Colonial Tourism. "Hey, lets fuck up this Caribbean place that is gorgeous and make it fake to look like what we think the Caribbean should look like." What about the locals? "Ah fuck em"

The judge determined that the state had "intentionally and deliberately" withheld evidence about ammunition delivered to the sheriff's office that could have been related to the case, concluding that the state's actions amounted to prosecutorial misconduct.  Dismissed the case.

Whether an involuntary manslaughter occurred can be an open question theoretically, but there is zero question about whether there was a murder.
