Look, I started throwing back shots around 9.30PM when I saw we were tied. My state of mind wasnt the clearest. But I regret nothing and feel like shit today lol.

I fell asleep in the 11th - no booze - realizing either we win and go on or we lose and arrive Friday focused like a man from Sinton. Win-win.

Gotcha.

Just a heads-up though, we're gonna lose some more Tuesday games against lesser competition.  I wish it weren't so, but it is so.

Good for the roadrunners.  Beat us and aggy the same year.

Gtfo crying about them using their best players to try to win the game.

They can do whatever they want, but it may cost them.

Their Friday night starter came in and took a shot off his leg and was limping from it.

He is going to have a very sore bruise there and it could still be bothering him come this Friday night in a conference game.

UTSA’s pitching was lit up this past weekend at Dallas Baptist and they still found a way to win a game.  Their starters needed the work because they had short outings previously, so I doubt Pat was worried too much about overwork.

Most should get familiar with their coach, Pat Hallmark.  He is absolutely one the best in the business.  If they can ever get facilities there, they could be a force like DBU.

Royse threw 71 pitches in 2 innings on Friday and Owens threw 89 on Saturday 2 days ago.. His team, but running arms into the ground 23 games into the season isn’t going to help you. Royse is fine, he essentially threw a bullpen on 3 days rest. Owens pitching yesterday is malpractice

He has a long way to go, 0 NCAA tournament appearances, 0 conference titles, and a 5-9 conference tournament record in now his 7th season as a head coach (excluding covid year)

I said it could cost UTSA because the Friday night starter took a shot off his leg and was noticeably limping.

That he would still be most likely still hurting when his next conference start comes this Friday.

Couple of things as I can tell we likely will not agree.  Royce threw a bullpen.  So did Owens.  He threw 17 pitches on two days rest.  Hardly malpractice.

This is Pat’s 6th year, so in just under 5 1/2 years he has 157 wins (including years of 32, 38, and 38).  Until this year they had three sets of bleachers you find at a high school.  Other facilities are minimal or non-existent.

Thankfully, Schloss isn’t afraid to put UTSA back on the schedule so they can help their SOS and RPI.   Pierce, who coached with Pat at Rice, took them off the schedule and it was a point of contention.

Pat Hallmark is a respected coach.   He was a long time assistant at Rice under Graham along with Pierce and was likely a candidate for their recent opening.    As mentioned,  he needs to be at a program that receives support in facilities and NIL.    His teams are sound.   His Incarnate Word team beat us in 2019 along with everyone else.

Hope Schloss has an eye on the UTSA 1B,   freshman Cade Miller, should he enter the portal.  Great swing and approach.  Had the HR in the 7th to tie the game and looked good on defense, hitting over .300.   Per his bio,  he is from Madisonville so Schloss may be aware of him from a camp or other means.

Did they add actual seats? We send out kiddo to the UTSA baseball camp in the summers and last time I was there it was still the high school field.

I have not been there in a couple of years, but on TV it shows stands with chair backed seats behind home plate. Certainly not a stadium yet.
