893 entrants $25 fee, $25K prize pool and $5K for first. Pick one golfer from 8 tiers.

All of a sudden I'm a huge Rose fan as you don't really expect top production from a guy in the 4th tier. Let's see how long the old chap can hold on. Currently sitting in a 10 way tie for 7th ($600)  at -10. Straka is shitting himself furiously, but my lower tier guys showed up.

Yeah I left Rory out. He was T1 for certain.

I was about to say. I get that he fucked his round up today but he has 7 top 10s in his last 11 there and has won twice already this season 😂

I think it would be more fun for stuff like that if they just took Scottie off the board entirely. Because who isn't taking him? Now - deciding between Rory, Aberg, BDC? That's how you spice things up.

Its funny, Scottie was only picked in 30% of all entries, which is the most of any player, but I would have guessed it would be higher. Maybe the rationale is that if everyone picks Scottie, it doesn't really matter how he does because it basically eliminates his value, so lots of people picked others as a differentiating feature in case Scottie has an off week. At least that was my thought when I considered others. But Scottie is so much better than anyone else in the field, I couldn't justify choosing someone else in the end. Maybe Rory, but fuck that guy, I'm sick of his twaty-ness and he constantly chokes in these things anyway.

out of Tier 1:

Scottie - 30%
Rory- 25%
Morikawa - 15%
everyone else was 2-6% except Hideki who was like .5%.

Great first round.  A classic Rory collapse was the perfect bow on proceedings.  Very interesting how hard 15 is now.  17 was also more compelling with death looming off the back.

He may get a green jacket one day but it won’t be the next major he wins. He’s gotta get at least half that monkey off his back first.

Rory's absolute best chance at that is next month.  PGA is at Rory's House, aka Quail Hollow.  Rory owns that course.  if he can't win that one, i don't know if/when it's gonna happen again.

Did you guys know that Bhatia is the first Drive, Chip, and Putt champ to ever play in the Masters???? Did you?

If you forget, we'll tell you again in about 15 minutes.

Just realized you can turn the commentators off on the Masters app...hell yes

Btw there's still a lot of golf left and Rory just birdied 2... it's not like he shot a 78 yesterday.

Curious to see what Rose does today and where the # winds up.

"Who has these hands to keep hitting these shots?!"

Why, I'm glad you asked, it's the first...

Ken Griffey Jr. being an official photographer at the Masters would have caused 12 year old me to faint. I still might.

Really what can't Junior do? Still the rookie card I would love to own that I never was able to pull.

Just looked at ESPN and they’re interviewing Rory’s ex at the tournament (not about him, obviously). I wonder if she’ll follow him at all over the weekend.

Bijan on now FYI

Nice recovery by Rory. Hit it into the pine straw but then knocked it onto the green with his 2nd shot.

Yeah just watched the replays. That's the best shot I've seen so far this week. Huge balls to go for that pin out of the pine straw.

I don't do gambling, but I'm guessing one could have made a fortune last night betting on Rory to be in the final group on Saturday.

...and probably still lost. But still.

Bryson birdied the 2nd, 4th and 6th hardest holes on the course today.

Idk about a fortune. He's Rory.

I mean seriously - everyone was acting like he shot a 79 yesterday. He was 4 back of everyone but Rose.
