I've watched more golf in the past 3 days than the rest of my life combined.  Don't know any of the personalities/ missteps by players except that this tourney title has eluded McIlroy.  It was highly entertaining and was wanting more playoff holes, but it's very cool that he got the win.

As a reminder, Dale Earnhardt took 20 attempts to win the Daytona500...and later died there.

Rory has a legit shot at the single season grand slam.  PGA is next at Quail Hollow, which he owns.  4 Wells Fargo titles there.

US Open is at Oakmont. He finished second at the US Open last year.  It’s a long course.  He’ll be one of the favorites.

And then the British is at Royal Portrush in his native Northern Ireland.

If you don't watch any golf, you should still watch the masters. It's arguably the best sporting event on television.

He's now the 3rd player to get the Players and Masters in the same season after Tiger and Scottie.

Rose is gonna look at his Saturday card and notes, then cry... Or drink.

Not much more he could have done. Maybe yesterday.

Rory should have won this at -14 or more.

he just needs to clear his head for 4 days

He needs to get a lot better at golf first.

This was like the greatest day ever and now we’re supposed to watch the heritage next week? Gtfo.

I admittedly enjoyed it.  Was texting back forth with oldest son, who does golf and I said I was entertained, as an ode to Maximus imploring the crowd.  His reply-

"Damn, that's high praise from you."

Fuck, if they let me play Augusta once a year for the next 20 years, then I could die happy crashing my car into Butler Cabin.

Always remember Crenshaw winning his 2nd and Carl just walking over and putting his hands on his shoulders and putting his back.

Same.  I love the Masters and one reason is the drama on Sunday.  That back 9 is all risk and all reward.  Every one of those guys today knew they had to go out and get some shots and the shots are there on that course but the misses are painful.

they set up the course for scoring. they want the drama and it's worked great for them and us

It's why it's the best to watch.  US Open has guys struggling to make par.  Masters give us the big shots.

Not too much in sports compares to the back nine on Sunday at The Masters. Today did not disappoint.

I'm talking about yesterday. He missed SOOO many putts less than a quarter cup left yesterday. He could have walked away with it today.

What’s the deal with doing the jacket in BC? Does that only happen when they’re out of time / it’s too dark?

This gets him to top-10 all-time air. He easily jumps Koepka and Seve. Basically eye-to-eye with the guys with 6 that don't have the career-slam, imo. And then 11 guys have 7+.

(and he's instantly the best Euro ever, now)

Going to be fun to see how he plays in majors now with the gorilla off his back. Phil was just a bit younger when he one his first of his six.
