So a 10 and 12 are the only double digit seed wins today? And 5 overall in the first round (none lower than 12)?

SEC underwhelming thus far...

I still cannot fathom how they put 14 teams in this field of 68 from a conference that has just 16 total. They could’ve cut out about 5 or 6 of them and given them to teams that actually belonged in the tournament.

The round of 32 includes:

8 of 8 from the B1G

8 of 14 from the SEC

7 of 8 from the Big 12

jay wright made the point that mid majors used to have the advantage of having older players and teams, but that now with the transfer portal and NIL they’ve lost that advantage as all of the best older mid major guys now leave those schools for the major conferences and teams.

That’s a great point. I hope Texas finds some of those guys.

Eh, I can see the bottom 3 of Texas, dirt burglar, UGA but the rest were in.  the only uncompetitive game was Georgia and Drake/Mizz was the only real upset.  I don't think the others who would be considered were gonna be better.  WVU maybe, but it was a historic season from SEC and the NET(and other) rankings played a big part.

Big 12 or the Big Ten might benefit the same way next year. If you want to spread the wealth then push for a limit for each conference.
