Galvan couldn't score on that with 2 outs?  I guess he did knock the shit out of it and it bounced right back to the rf.

104 off the bat and perfect bounce off the wall, plus Galvan ain’t speedy

It's really crap. I readily found the game today on the ESPN app that's on my NVIDIA Shield Pro (connected to living room TV), but I've had all sorts of trouble over the last couple of weeks with both UT baseball and softball. Have had to hop around between Disney+, ESPN, YTTV, scan codes and enter passwords and more codes ... often to no avail. Maddening.

Currently working on my desktop in the home office, and the only way I could find the baseball game -- despite having both the ESPN and YouTube desktop apps -- was to go to texassports.com and just click on "video" under the game listing for today. That seems to communicate perfectly with ESPN/SECN+ on my desktop. But I hate that I can't access any of the standard YTTV functionality for recording, FF/RW and whatnot.

Conclusion: ESPN/+/SECN+ suck aggy balls, if there is such a thing. But at least we just scored.

Yea after all that I found some rando broadcasting it on YouTube.

What is the ump upset at their pitcher about?

Shores hasn't been making eye contact with the batters. Have to establish eye contact to limit quick pitching and catching the batter off guard.

33-pitch first inning for Shores. Super fortunate for him to get out of it only allowing one run.

Yeah, 33 pitches is good but it sure would have been nice to pick up those 2 runs.

Chasing a shaky pitcher early but without stacking up some runs in the process can work against you.  You see a better pitcher earlier in the game without a big lead to show for it.

Was my time too, but have almost zero recollection of him.

He wasn't a regular starter; his dad was a big wheel at Baylor. Good people though got to know his parents too.

He was scrappy when he played and was voted the team captain.

He knew his future in baseball wasn't as a player, asked Coach Gus to help him get into coaching and he did and had a long coaching career mostly as head coach at SWT, now called Texas State.

He's gone through a lot, his parents were killed in a car accident, and he almost lost his life to cancer, that kept him out of coaching for a while.

Yeah, I remember most of that, figured he was from the mid- later 90s when I was out of touch.

I've just decided I need to start 10-15 minutes early if I want to see the start of a game. SECN is up there with the loss of regional rivalries as reasons to dislike the new world order.

But the competition level of SEC baseball and softball are definitely on the plus side ... man, having Mississippi State and LSU as our first two conference series is pretty awesome and makes the loss of Texas rivals and OSU a wash. Definitely not missing K-State and KU in comparison, at least in baseball.

Yeah, none of the roughly 23 pitchers we saw scared me too bad.

Did Stewart play with Galvan?

Given their ages, he must have. They're only a year apart.

Edit: just checked their profiles. Both earned four letters in high school. Overlapped on varsity three years.
