Hard to quarrel with Bing getting another shot after the outing he had last Tuesday night.

Will he be followed by another "Howard Mania" experience also like last Tuesday night is yet to be known.

It was quite the one-two punch after pitching fell apart before they came in.

Of course, you need to do it more than once for it to become a thing.

I'm not sure I understand the tradeoff we are making by playing Rodriguez at 3B, which forces us to use a guy like Stewart at DH. Are we really upgrading by taking Borba out and rolling the dice with Rodriguez defensively? Stewart's bat ain't that special, as evidenced by him hitting 9th.

I'm assuming this is 'do something or we are just rolling with Farmer in the 9-hole' time for Winfield. He is running out of chances and Farmer has him beat by a mile defensively.

Why not DH Borba? I don’t really understand it at all.

I'm in favor of rolling with Farmer. He had a much better weekend at the plate than people think. Once he elevates those line drives we'll see some bombs. Or not.

If Borba's going to play, you have to put him at 3rd and DH Rodriguez, I would think.

Assume Stewart earned it in his practices and being rewarded.

Borba is a 255/555/355 slash. It’s not world beater status but we know he can hit. If earning it in practice means you’re hitting 9th I question how good of a hitter you really are.

Schloss just trying to find a lefty on the bench, hard to use Chamberlain when he is your back up catcher. Stewart and Winfield are the only other options. 7-17 Sam Houston State on a Tuesday night who have 1 pitcher under a 5.00 ERA with more than 10 innings. Not going to find a better opportunity to unload the bench

You know what you have in Borba, not going to hurt him taking him out of the lineup for a few games.

Well, still got a game against Prairie View Aggy.

I think you could unload the bench and part of the Yeti Yard and still be ok in that game.

Keith keeps pointing out every 110+ mph exit velocity and how common they've become in ncaa vs mlb.  I agree that it's getting time to do something about the bats or ball.  We're not there yet but we're heading back toward gorilla ball.
