I was driving back home from Austin listening to that game on the radio. Almost every time I drive back to Houston, I think of that game and smile.

Funny how that works....i was driving back to Austin from Houston and listening when Dierker fell out so now I think of that if I do that drive

I was driving back from Montana to Austin and outside of Lubbock when Dusty put in Jake Meyers for his MLB debut to pinch hit in the 9th with 2 outs in San Fransisco.

He K’d on 3 pitches.

Not gonna win many games averaging 2-3 runs a game. Obviously we can’t suck this bad for a full season but I don’t think we’re gonna be very good over the long haul of the season. Interested if we become sellers at the break and start a rebuild or if we are in denial and run it into the ground.

Sure seems like he's interested in free agency.

It would really be something if the Astros used the expiring Abreu money to sign Tucker to a long term deal next year. What a kick in the pants to the Cubs that would be lol...

Crane's definition of long term does not equal what an agent sees as long term.

Not a great outing for McCullers last night at Corpus.

1.2 ip 4 H 4 R 2 ER 3 BB 1 K 1 HR

50 pitches, 27 for strikes. He struggled with command in the second (and should have been out of the inning after a dropped throw at first base) and gave up a two-out, two-run single to MLBer Josh Jung after issuing a walk and allowing a home run earlier in the inning. He was yanking quite a few pitches and looked frustrated.

Maybe it'll be a late throw to home today. Or a misplaced opposite field hit by a lefty. Or another botched transfer.

Can't wait.

Sigh.

None of that matters when we score 1. Also going into yesterday he was 1 out above average in very limited time.

Can I ask a dumb question? Why did we go out and get another second basemen when we already had one?  Why didn’t we go out and get a, um, I don’t know, left fielder?

Rodgers was dirt cheap and high upside

Dana:

LMJ: 90-94. delivery, arm action, all that stuff still looks pretty good

don't weight too heavily on the pithcing line; healthy, has velocity, throwing motion is clean, and that he feels good the next day are what's important.  all of those are true to form

Ort & Whitley on the IL:

throwing live BP in West Palm Beach; time table for Ort will be going to Sugarland this week; Whitley will have start today in WPB and see how he feels after that; if that goes well, he'll be following to SugarLand getting some rehab starts there. Looking to get them back end of the month.

Melton: dealing with him week-by-week. He's improving. would like to see his LH bat take off in AAA and get him up to Houston

Framber has a sore throat/fatiqued. But scheduled to be on track to pitch Tuesday. Will know more tomorrow

Because at the time they finally decided to do this the OF available suck ass. Verdugo was basically the only option

We'll at least be in the hunt for the division at the trade deadline

We will? Playing like this?

Y'all say this kind of shit every year.  And there's not exactly a dodgers in the division.

Of course the last 7-8 years I'd be posting that we'll win the division by 5+ games right now.

Yea I get it but I’m not sure how you look at this group the same as the other years.

True, nothing lasts forever and we're trending in the wrong direction for sure.
