You know the real perplexing part is, if Texas State played with half the intensity they do against Texas, you would win the Sun Belt every year

Schloss will learn that some of these in-state schools would rather go 1-54 or whatever if that one win was Texas.

Texas was said not to be competitive in the SEC this season.

Like they said about football when it was known they were joining the SEC.

Sark had time to get ready.

Give Schloss that time and see how the roster looks, it's not bad now.

There are much worse things to be.

OU for instance.

He already knew that which is why I’m surprised. Less concerned about the outcome of the game and more concerned with complete lack of energy out of that dugout when you know this is Texas State’s jihad game every year.

A lot of unfortunate shit happened tonight, that’s baseball. Effort was abysmal though

We’ve lost 2 and cruised in every other one.

And UTSA is legitimately a good club.

Both UTSA and TX St games were winnable games. We didn't treat them like we do weekend games. That's my point.

You are right, Schloss has no fucking clue how to manage a team, build over a season, or establish a program.

He was obviously unprepared for this job at simply got the spot due to a friendship with CDC.

We threw Ruger for 4 innings against UTSA. They straight up beat us.

Absolutely both games were winnable. We had a no hitter with 2 outs in the 8th inning last night.

Way too early to be thinking about the portal but this staff has said publicly about 65 times now that they don’t have enough left handed hitters and Belyeu going down is just going to shine more light on the problem. Winfield ineffective, Rodriguez hurt and Stewart just kind of meh. Chamberlain was the only lefty in the lineup and 7 of the 9 innings by Texas State were covered by righties.

I’ll be watching every left handed hitter with a pulse that enters the portal in 2 months.

It's not the pitching effort that I find lacking in midweek games. It's the mental approach that manifests in defensive errors, decision making, and at bats. It's like we take too many innings off before deciding to get serious.

The stars aligned for 1/3 of an inning.   Bam!

Texas has 27 errors on the season, Adrian has 6 (.833) and Borba has 4 (.900). Sad part is both have been beneficiaries of generous scoring decisions so it could be worse statistically speaking

If you're trying to develop the pitching depth needed to win in the post-season, that's exactly what you want.

If Texas brought in Grubbs for the last 4 outs we win - is what it is - beat them cocksuckers from Georgia and all is well- but I’ll have to live with this loss for the rest of my life. RIP COACH GARRIDO

We all have crosses that we must carry, but in reality if a mid-week loss to Texas State is something "you must live with for the rest of your life" life ain't too bad for you.

You sure you know that you’re posting on a Texas board?
