Brumley will always be remembered for his grand slam at the 1983 CWS against Michigan to come from behind and win and keep them undefeated.

That Michigan team had Barry Larkin and Chris Sabo on it.

Then Brumley caught a high pop up for the final out against Alabama that won the title that year for Texas.
