That Michigan team had Barry Larkin and Chris Sabo on it.

Then Brumley caught a high pop up for the final out against Alabama that won the title that year for Texas.

Remember Texas beating Alabama for NC but none of the other CWS games.  But do remember Brumley played a big role.  Seem to recall he just didn’t ever seem comfortable at the plate but was clutch.  Kimble strikes me that way too.
